We are planning a trip Oct 15-18 while the kids are on fall break. We are going to spend at least two nights at Roper Lake State Park near Safford before heading down toward Wilcox for out annual apple picking at Apple Annie's. We would love some company if anyone else can make it. Roper Lake SP does accept reservations and they have full hookups. They have a lake for swimming and fishing and a hot springs made into a hot tub.
We would love to join you but our fall break is the prior week and we are heading to the beach for most of the week. We will have to try to catch up with you on the next one as long as DD stays healthy! Enjoy your trip, sounds like a fun time.

With the cooler weather we will be able to camp closer to home soon so I'm sure we can meet up again soon. McDowell Mtn RP would be a nice place. We are also going to try Usery Mountain RP. Have a great time in CA at the beach.
We have our reservations at Roper Lake SP for Oct 15 + 16. We have spot E in the Hacienda cg. We have heard good things about Roper Lake and are very anxious to experience it for ourselves. I was disappointed that we couldn't get out camping in Sept so we are just looking forward to getting back camping period. On the 17th we will move to Chiricahua National Monument and spend a night there before heading to Apple Annie's in Wilcox to go apple picking.
