Hey, it's me again, your old wagonmaster, ready to do it all over again for 2009!

Ok, now that I have been chained to the desk here; I will keep this updated as needed! Thank you for early mailing of deposits and full amounts! Don't forget that this does NOT included the monies for the Famous pancake breakfast that we have each year! Those monies will need to be sent if you have only done a deposit so far! So tack on another five dollars to what you still owe and if you have paid in full all ready i will cover that up front as of today. This way, when the person that goes shopping for all the goceries they are not out any of their own money! Makes sense! The cost of the breakfast still is $5.00 a family! Can't beat that deal! 8/07/09: Update to page 1: Here are the rates for this years rally as follows:
It is $25.00 per night based on a family of 4, 1 RV, and 1 vehicle per site. This is for the Alder and Birch sections which only have water and electric. The sewer dump is outside the main office.
If you are bringing a dog; its $1.00 per dog per day!
Guest not staying the night is $3.00 per car, per day, Guest must leave by 10 PM.
Extra vehicle is $3.00 a day.
So some of you have only paid a deposit of either $25.00 or $30.00 and that is if you sent in the monies needed for the pancake breakfast which is $5.00 per family. We wanted to get the monies for the breakfast upfront this year so the person going shopping is not out any money up front. 7/08/09. This website has the details of another pumpkin patch. Click on the link and judge for yourselfs.

May I be so bold to say that you should make T-shirts with our camper on the front. Just a thought. And I would like to be a judge for the costume contest. Thanks
what site number do Have??? :Z ;)
Quote from: Dee4jwhat site number do Have??? :Z ;)
You know, site numbers are not written in stone till it gets closer to going.
Some families actually might
buy a new trailer which would be longer than the one they have now! GLMracers are good example! Just bought a 5er' and its 33' long so they will be in a longer spot than this year.
Bribes are good! Small unmarked bills! HaHa :-()
we'd like a site for next year
Bob, we would like the same site for next year. Thanks
And Bob, I KNOW someone else would love to have the site I was in this year! Please, let's spread that experience around for next year. I'd actually like to be able to sit outside and enjoy my site.
Quote from: hatletwe'd like a site for next year
Bob you almost have enough on the waiting list to get the OTHER loop too!!!
We could take over the Campground! WORLD SCCAMPER DOMINATION!!

OH yeah and are we changing the name?? This is normally the Trick or Treat Rally... :p
Quote from: dkutzOH yeah and are we changing the name?? This is normally the Trick or Treat Rally... :p
no why would we do that??? so it's a bit early this year, shoot the halloween stuff will be out by at least 4th of July ;) :p
Knowing Dave, he will probably want to come in on the 1st for this one. Do we need to arrange extra days with the cg ourselves, or does that go through you, Bob?
Also, if the kdis enjoyed it at this past rally, I would be willing to read another "scary" story by the campfire next year.
Just an observation...the "6th Annual SCCamper Halloween Rally" went to 774 posts ( and counting)...with 10 months and 3 weeks until the "7th Annual SCCampers Halloween Rally"...how many posts do we think it will take ?? Any predictions ? Shall we add "one more twist" to the whole Halloween Rally ??
On this day, November 9, 2008 (5:39 pm PST) I predict we will reach or exceed 900 posts before noon of the Friday of the Rally weedend. ;)
Let the games begin...... :D

In 2007, we had 646 posts and 18,067 views and 65 pages!
In 2008, we have so far; 774 posts, 15,287 views and 78 pages!
For 2009 I predict: 890 posts, 21,025 views and 109 pages!

Rules, easy....Cut-off date: December 1,2008 @ 12:01 AM PST
Regarding "accidental double posting" to artifically increase post count..."all posts will be deducted for each person making prediction". In other words...if the post count is 900 at noon on the friday of the rally and Dieter posted 600 times on that thread his official count would be 300. The person coming closest to their prediction wins....bragging rights and shall be known for one year as "PSYCHO"...err sorry "PSYCHIC".......spelling error.....
OK...NOW LET THE GAMES BEGIN... :eyecrazy:

I'm pretty sure you meant
October 1, 2009 @ 12:01 AM PST
I'm also pretty sure that even Dieter with all his "accidental double postings" could not reach his predicted number of 1001 by December 1st! ;)

Well, I think Toni is saying PUT your
PREdictions in by
12/2008 otherwise ....there is no prediction, If say on 09/2009 you would have a
GREAT idea of the count and your prediction would be close. :D

Bob and Trina - thanks for hosting again and including us!
We promise to do a bigger and better haunted house in 09, however, we will need a large grassy spot! :D
Also, I would like to show up a day early to set up so we have more time to enjoy the haunted house.
Number of posts by 10-01-09 - I am not sure yet... I have noticed that a lot of people post frequently, I need to do some calculations... :banghead:
NOTE: Predictions have to be made by December 1, 2008...the contest concludes at noon on October 1, 2009.
And those of you that aren't very chatty won't have as many "calculations" as others. ;)

You know what, the large prediction number that I forcasted, was based on the the after glow of the rally! The numbers each year continue to count after we get back and say how great the wagonmaster was again and talk him into doing it again! Make the contest end after the rally like say Oct. 31, 2009! Halloween night at midnight! That would be appropriate to our theme of "Trick or Treat"!

I LIKE THAT BOB...Let it be so. The new "ending" to this contest will be midnight on October 31, 2009.
Another note: I will take this contest to its own thread as soon as we have established the predictions so we won't clutter up the thread. Of course then we may have to start a contest on how many posts it will take to take the first contest to October 31, 2009..... :eyecrazy: :D

also it will get noticed better

MERRY CHRISTMAS .....Please tell Santa I have been mostly good this year and I'm leaving him milk and cookies and ice cream for the reindeer. ( something we do every year. )
Our stockings are hung with care.
P.S. also let him know my list is under the tree. He'll know what to do with it I'm sure.

The head Elf reporting that Santa is doing well on his trip around the world! He asked me to pass along a special Holiday message to The SCCampers.
You will have to wait till tomorrow!
Miss Carol; You have been very good this year! Take care of Big Jim! You will be very excited when it is time to open your presents.
Hi all. Your old wagonmaster here. I have awoke from a sound sleep to find that Santa was here last night. He might have even visited your home as well. Santa told his head Elf, that miracles do happen and today is no exception!
Somewhere in the midst of all the presents under the tree; the Elf said; there is a special letter for the SCCamper wagonmaster Bob. So while we go to open our presents, I will be looking for the "special letter"! I will report back on what it says later! We hope that everyone has a Merry Christmas and that you find what you asked for under the tree.
Attention all; the special letter has been opened. You will need togo to the first page of the Halloween Rally of 09'

No campground and Santa put Bob on notice till next Christmas season for some reason he no longer wants to be an Elf.......Hahaaaaaaa Go figure?!
Freedom 5,
My brother and his wife joined us on the NewYears Camp-out They enjoyed it so much that they'd like to join us on the Halloween Camp-out as well. Please let me know if their is a site available.
Wayne
Sue & I would like to join this outing. Please let me know what is/becomes available. Thanks, Steve

I will let both you and Wayne know later this week. Keep checking back or at least your PM box's; OK people.
Hey Bob,
As of right now, we would like to go this year. It will be dependent though on how Kylie's marching band schedule is this next fall. Things definitely get more busy and complicated once the kids hit high school age. Anyways, set us up for 3 adults, 1 child, and 2 pets. Thanks!!!

Ronnie, You are a funny girl! I already have you down on the first page #28!
I still love ya! Just keep checking back. at least once a month until it gets closer like April when I start asking for money.
The girls are ready to have some fun... Bob I have some used trailer tires... Should I bring them along? That would save me a trip over to Good Year!

Gee that's a tough decision! It's not an adventure without a little mishap! Besides it's still early to be talking about the big rally in October! The truck and trailer now have new rubber all the way around. I also just installed two new 6 volt batteries to substain us longer when there is no shore power.
There is a lot of camping to do between now and Oct. Keep the camp fires burning.

Come on guys I think Bob and Trina have had enough adventures
to last them for the next five years or so..........So lets only wish good trips on good rubber for awhile.....
:W Love Ya.........
Any chance of getting in on this trip? If so, we would like to go.
Thanks!

To Kelly & Rich (SoCalSchlegels); you are now officialy in for Hallowen rally. Tell me a little info about your family; how long is your trailer; any slide outs? If you are related to any of our regular members or not; welcome.
Now that you are for this one be sure to check at least once a month till things get rolling and the summer starts to wind down becasue before you know it, the rally will be here.
Bob- How many spots are still available for this rally? Just wondering because we may have friends who are also interested... I think I mentioned that in a prior post but it got confused maybe for us wanting to confirm the one we have for our family already? Not sure.... anyway it would be nice to know if we could bring another family we know :)
Thanks ;)

Im between computers right now so all I can say at this moment is give me their names; you know all the stuff a wagonmaster needs to know, especialy phone numbers, I can put them down as first ones on the waiting list but like I said I can't confirm if I have the last spot open or not. It's a long way to go before any money is needed. PM me with their details ok.
Hi Bob, I'm Wavery's daughter, we would like a site at this rally. We would like full hookups and we have a 28ft TT 1 slide out. Let me know if a space comes available or put us on the waiting list.

Hi there! Welcome. I will add your family to the wating list.
This reply is also to Gracie; please be advised that there is
NO TENTS allowed at the camp sites! Any family that has only tents may think about calling direct to the Far West and getting the tent sites that are located on the bottom of the river valley. A medium hike would be involved to come visit with all of us.

Cool!
We will be married 30 years on Cinco De Mayo (may 5th for the gringos). :-)
We have 2 kids, Daughter Nicole will be 21 April 4th and son Michael is 26 and is serving in US Marines.
We have 21' TT with a small slide-out.
We heard about this club through Lori and Dan Guerrero (Guerrero5). Lori is AveryWayne's daughter. We were hoping it would help us get out our trailer more than a couple of times a year. So far so good! We met some of you at Newport dunes last month. Didn't realize a dutch oven was such a big part of camping!
Anyway, It looks like a big group so we can't wait to meet everyone.
Rich

Be careful what you wish for! LOL :eyecrazy:
I do advise that you also stay tuned to the website as things change constanly and you could miss out on important info. When rallys get as large as this one does the Wagonmaster has enough to do with making sure everyone is on the same page. With my wife Trina as my partner, we do a pretty good job; nobody has said no, that Bob should not do it anymore!
look forward to meeting you guys at a future campout!
Hi everyone.
Contrary to the popular rumor mill I have not forgotten about the Halloween rally.
An idea came up tonight and I want to open it up for discussion!
For this years shirt design, how about the kids turn in what they would like?
Im posting this now because I would rather give Dieter more time this year to complete the shirts. Meaning the due date for ideas should be 3 weeks from today! Today's date is 4/22/09. So the designs are due May 13th. Now Dieter might say that is not enough time due to the end of the school year but at least he dosen't have to wait till the beginning of the new school year to work on them.
Start designing kids :eyecrazy:

Sounds good. Let them design it, post it here, and then we can have everyone vote for the final design. If they don't come up with anything then we'll punt, and I will come up with something. You can post it here, or email it to me and I will post it, or if you aren't able to post it you could send it to me by mail.
Winning Design gets free shirts for their family.!!! :-()

Cute idea!
So are you looking for the kids to draw something or do a computer design or just give the idea they are thinking? This is totally something Cady would enjoy for sure ;)
LOVE the idea..hate the timeline..This would've have been doable a couple of weeks ago when they were OUT of school for spring break...maybe the deadline could be something like July 4th, that way they have a couple of weeks after school gets out..just my $.02 :p

I will take it under advisement.
As for the designs, I guess it depends on what they come up with. If the design is good enough to go straight on the shirt, I can scan it and put it in. If the concept is good but needs some help for it to work for a shirt I can mess with it, to get it to work.

Thanks..I just looked at the calendar and there is no way they will have time to work on it...

The tee shirt committee talked (PM) and is going to extend the design the Halloween shirt contest to the time most of you go to Smithwoods this summer.
Please be ready if your are going to Smithwoods. We think that is a fair amount of time. If you are not going to Smithwoods this summer but still have kids that want to be creative, the deadline is the same.
Gracy, you can choose whatever form to work with as long as it can be scaned into a PDF format so Dieter can retrive it. If you are going to see Dieter on a campout before then Im sure he can address the make up of the design and include them in the contest.
yippee..Thank you oh Masters of the Tshirt committe :p

Bob,
We have friends who would like to be added to the waiting list for this rally. They usually rent a camper when they go camping so at this point I couldn't tell you what size their rig would be. I can find out more when we talk to them about camping next week. (You'll get to meet them for the first time at Pt. Mugu over Father's day weekend.)

News Flash:
Deadline for Halloween rally monies due this year will be July 22, 2009!
Send to my home address not to the campsite please, It happens!
I need at least $25.00 for a one night's stay as a deposit. If you are going to stay longer let me know by then also.
It's still at the present moment $25.00 a day, a $1.00 per dog, per day! Extra vehicle $3.00 per day. I will try to list this years prices for the local events for Santa Paula and surrounding areas in the coming months. If I do it too early it will probably reflect last's years prices.

Hi Laura,
Thank you for a quick response! The time will go by soon enough! Why, it was just Easter a couple of months ago, and now for us anyways school will be out in 9 days! The summer's big rally at Smithwoods will be here and then before you know it, its time for the Halloween rally!
Now what has all that got to do with Ms. Laura's check; absolutely nothing!
I started a second thread for the T-shirt design contest. Get creative!!!

Hey everyone,
Its still a little early but I need some information; mostly from the new members who I don't have the info from them.
I need your Trailer length...
How many slide outs....
How long do you plan on staying for the Halloween rally?....
Number of four legged animals?....
How many adults and children?....
Don't forget to send us your deposits..Please by the end of July, 2009
Ok Im running down the list of names and I need to know who the "Atkinsons" belong to? If any of our regular members know them and can either send me their info about their trailer and other info so I can get them to where they need to be.
I don't think we're going to be making this trip. Thank you for holding the spot ;)

Hey Bob
How about updating post #1 to show who has paid and what is owed ;)
they say with age the second thing to go is our memory and I don't remember what the first thing is :D
Funny thing about page 1 Brad. I had updated it with people who had paid either the full amount or their deposit and I know you can't remember stuff so I will update it again tonight. The switch over to the new server caused the omission of said payees!

admit it ;) you just think you had updated page one, but you can't really remember if you had or not :eyecrazy:
See what I mean about memory being the second thing to go :D
I looked at my records and yours corrisponds with mine that I failed to mail a check like I commited to. An E-check should be sent out today and you should receive by 6/23. Let me know when you receive. Thanks
Sorry all, but we have to cancel the Halloween trip. Man! I don't know what's up with this year but it is going crazy! Anyway hope you all have a good time!
Rich & Kelly
Sorry guys; you will be missed! At this rate, we are losing one family per week! By the time Halloween gets here we will have a small group huddle around a campfire!
Good news for Dave and Lori; is that your friends that are on the waiting list will now move up to being "IN" for the rally! I will make the corrections later today!
After today, no more people on the waiting list!

Waiting List
Mike and Lorin: Friends of the Griffsclan
I just found out that I am now on the list for the camp out. I thought that I was still on the waiting list. How much do I owe? I only want to camp for 2 nights. My trailer length is just under 26'. I have a slide-out on the side and at both ends. I don't have any pets. I will be coming and I don't know right now if anyone will be coming with me.
Glenna (giuinea) :yikes::U
Well maybe no one on the waiting list the people we sold the Tent Trailer to really want to come to the Halloween Rally.....We'll see if they sign up.....
Get on the waiting list Malena and Gerry......If you are lurking around on the site.......carol
Ok In reply to Glenna (Guinea) the $ amount is $25.00 a nite. The rally is for 2 days the first weekend of October 09'. You only need to send in a deposit now and no later than the end of July. This covers a family of four! If you bring four legged animals they are extra for each day! I Try to arrange that you be with others from the club if you wish. The seating arragement is in the works as we speak (post)! There is a pancake breakfast that we have been doing for the last few years in lieu of a morning potluck! The cost of that is $5.00 for a family and still $5.00 if you are by your self!
Hope that helps you with the money matters. Please as time draws closer look to the postings to see what changes have occured! No need to copy page one every time you have a question just post the question(s) and they will be answered by the shell answer person! Or wagonmaster!
Now for Carol; yes please get with your people that bought the trailer from you. Asked them if they want to be included. I have a sixth sense that I will have another openning appearing in awhile! Let the family know the same routine as outlined above.
With everyone coordinating we can have a great rally for us and kids this year!
Quote from: Freedom_5;206642Ok In reply to Glenna (Guinea) the $ amount is $25.00 a nite.

Hi Bob...er, a, I mean Mr. Wagonmaster,
I am on, are you shocked? It's only been three mnoths...ha ha. I don't need your address, I know where you live...
I have a friend at work who just bought his first pop up, a Viking, in excellent shape. You will never guess what he paid.
Anyway, he may want to consider going to this rally to check out the group...so behave...:) He is married with three little kids the oldest is around 9. He will enjoy it. He is just coming onto this site and checking it out. Please put him on the waiting list for now and I will find out if he is committed. He doesn't have a screen name yet so put him in as "NEWBIE", his name is Rick.
Thanks Bob.

ooooh fresh blood...:Z I mean campers..Welcome newbie Rick
Well Dee hit the nail squarely on the head "Oooooh Fresh Blood" I think she didn't realise that we are talking about our Halloween Rally The mere thought of "blood and Halloween" go together.
Sorry I spaced on this one...Did you ask for money? Well I put our deposit and pancake breakfast monies in the mail this afternoon...
Hey everyone.
Im still looking for the family whose name is the "Atkinsons". I want more info on who they are or who knows them. I can't seem to get a fix on them! If they are not in the group then who is vouching for them?
Sue, Im glad you are on top of it. Now I have you, Bryan and Heather (Crowbar4) and Chris Hivley together. Any others I did not remember? Please have the rest of your clan follow your lead!

No comment, unless I get it again.
To all who might be wondering. While it is a few months away; until I get the couple of families that are last minute add in's the sites are only being penciled in at this time. People have not been on forever and have not at least kept up with the posts. The deadline is the end of July! If you personally know the families or your friends are coming then I would enlist your help in making sure that they communicate to me that they are indeed coming. No sense in saying which site you have as that will change up to the final head count.
Today I received two more checks in the mail for Halloween. Thank you Glenna, (Guinea) and Thank you Sue. Sue also paid her breakfast money! Hurray! A few more days and it will be JULY! The big rally at Smithwoods and then a couple of months to Halloween!
Freedom 5 could you give me a spot in Alder Grove?
Glenna (guinea) :-() :U:morning:
Hi Bob,
I have spoken to "NEWBIE" today at work and it doesn't look good for the Halloween campout. DW is not sold on the idea yet. He is suppose to be on this site and will respond to you...once he figures it out and gets his password, etc... I'll keep you posted.
Maybe a little nudge towards "NEWBIE" may get him to go for it and take the plunge...I mean join us and have a great time...:) He is suppose to be reading this post, sooo how about a little cheer out there and kind words to get him to really want to come join us...
Sooo, Rick, lets go camping...GO...GO...GO...GO...GO...
jamesdad
To Newbie I know you are lurking around out there trying to make up your mind about the Halloween Camp out you will really miss out on lots of fun and meeting some great people. Four years ago when we started camping with this group I thought it would just be fun to camp with others never did I dream we'd meet so many true and great friends. So try to get the wife to join us in loads of fun...
Kevin looks like you'll not get your chair back till Halloween......At least you know where it is....carol
Bob I'll get my $5.00 out to you asap......
Newbie--Yes we internet people are the people you warn your children about but ya know what? This is the best group of people ever. We moved away (gulp) 5 years ago and still go out of our way to meet up with them every year.
If you have children, they will have the best time at the Halloween rally. There are so many kids to play with and so many activities. You will go home and they will immediately ask when are we going to go camping with them again.
Jacqui
To Rick and your wife,
Have a favor to ask of you and your wife. Take 10 minutes out of your busy schedule and look for last years posting of the Halloween rally. It will be in the "dead zone" so you will have to goto the bottom of the page and click on postings from a year ago!
Better yet and much simpiler, Click on the webshots in my signature at the bottom of this post. Goto the Halloween 08' and browse the many pictures of what we did and who we are and how much fun we have! Remember a picture is worth a thousand words.
So come join us please, especially if you have kids; you will have a great adventure! Lastly you can have more fun if you use your popup trailer!
Just remember.....most of the blood in those pictures is artificial. :Z

Bob,
I have been to this Farm many times in years past. It is a wonderful Pumpkin Patch and Farm, lots to see and do...a good one for the rally!

We did this patch last year, and liked it much better then the stink patch the year before. Lots of food options, lots of pumpkins, even some antiques, and a free train ride. The add bonus is that the proceeds go to local charities, and schools
Two good reviews so far! Thanks for the input. Another added bonus is that we could car pool there and back. To be able to come and go as you see fit. Not tied to a train schedule. All positives especially if you have kids and they need to get back to the rally so as not to miss out on the other activities!
Bob, please hold our friend's, Mike and Lorin, camp site for this rally. They have not been on the web for awhile. Thanks
Dave,
I can do this! But in the mean time, can you get ahold of them and let them know to send in their deposit by the end of this month! Remind them too that as it gets closer to check the posts for this campout/rally. You know how things start to pick up speed!
Have a great weekend!
Our check is going out in todays mail......for Oct.1-5th Plus fee for Pickles and the pancake breakfast......I just pray Jim is up and going!! We both are really missing camping....carol:%
I know we all have busy schedules and never seem to have enough time to be online; so this is a friendly reminder to send in your deposits for the Halloween rally. I'm only asking for $25.00 to hold your spot. Deadline is the end of the month. Im not going to list the 13 families who still have not responded to me as of 7 / 14 /09. I will be sending them each a private message tonight.
Don't forget about the tee shirt design contest. The family that wins the design by your voting will get free shirts for the family courtesy of Mr. Dieter K.
Hi Bob,
Consider Chez Way confirmed. We wouldn't miss it!
Jeanne Way
Hello to all our scary SCCampers.
For those of you who have paid their deposits so far; Thank you very much! Just to let you know, we will be cashing all the checks within the next 5 days unless you pm me to say hold on so it can clear. I know things are not as rosey like the old days so there might be one or two. Anyways once we deposit them then we are going to send Far West the first deposit of this year to cement our wanting all of the sites.
Just thought I should let you all know.
Bob, please pm me your address, i'll put acheck in the mail by monday
Check your PM box, please. You will find it there.
it's in the mail
Newbie....where are you? come out, come out where ever you are...?
Jamesdad
Thanks, Bob! Glad to begin our camping life with the SCCampers. I appreciate your help and that of Jamesdad to get us started. To the group: We live in Bakersfield, have 3 children, and spend most of our free time carting our children around to dance and sports, with soccer being the most prevalent. We have a 8ft '96 Viking box popup trailer which we've taken out once. Steph needs some convincing but the rest of us are looking forward to the Halloween Rally. We are newbies to camping so we'll need plenty of advice! Hopefully, I posted this correctly!

Hi Bob - our friends the Pears will be sending their $25 deposit to you in the mail tomorrow. Please hold their spot. I will PM you Loren Pear's email address so you can let her know that you will be holding the spot and any updates regarding this rally - they are rarely on this websit. Thanks Bob.

Welcome to BAYTOSH5! Pull up a chair by the campfire. We are happy to have you join us. Remember you will need to learn the SCCamper song and be able to sing at your first campout with us!
Bob,
The family we bought our pop up trailer from has moved up to a camping trailer and may be interested in joining the Halloween Rally. Is there any room left?
Rick (Baytosh5)
Rick,
Hmmm, already has a question, Well I will have to run this by the "committee" for Newbies!
Ok They said sure! Now will this family take as long to join like you? J/K
We only have a few months till the Halloween rally. You two new familes can learn the SCCamper song by then and be ready to take the center stage!
Will you be bringing them by my house so I can get them up to speed on how things work?

can't wait to meet you guys..we have a lot of fun and the KIDS love it..isn't that what its all about anyway..
Diedre, thanks for the warning, but Bob already had me over for a trailer cleaning. He said it was part of the initiation. Do I actually need to buy new tires for his trailer as well?
Bob, I confirmed with Lori today that they want to attend the Halloween trip. I'll get them up and running on the website (scary, I know!). Since they'll need to get you some money quickly we'll be in touch to meet up with you soon. Maybe this weekend?
Rick
Rick & Stephanie,
First off we are not that formal around here! Just call Dee4J = Dee. Next, Kevin did call me at work today to tell me about the family that sold you their popup so they could move up to a bigger trailer. Well you know my number, go ahead and tell them I don't bite; that they can call me! I will be working this Saturday and off Sunday. And you missed a spot underneath the second rung of the ladder in front of the trailer! Tell the kids they have to jump higher to reach the windows. Stephanie did a great job inside!
Next you don't want to know my dealings with tires!!! Sore subject there...

Steve,
I PM you back and cut out the middleman (Senior Wavery; AKA the treasuer)
so just sent it to us. Wayne must be doing alright with his treasuer tittle because he lives in Beverly Hills you know!:D
Victor, (Beacher)
I want to send you the PM reply but your box is full. You need to do a little housecleaning and delete some of the old messages.
It's $25 a nite for a family of 4. $1.00 per dog per day. $5.00 for the pancake breakfast and would like that sent with the deposit up front so that the buyer of the food is not out any money. Now it really depends on how long you want to camp. That will tell you how much you owe.
When you clean out your box then I can send my address to you unless you have Dee's contact list handy.
Howdy,
Ok everyone is back home from Smithwoods except for a couple who went on to new adventures!
I am giving you ONE MONTH from today (8/05/09) which would make it 9/05/09 to send to us the remainder of your deposit monies! Also include your $5.00 for the pancake breakfast please. For the few that I have not heard from PM asap or your spot will be assigned to other campers that want to come join us.
Please check page one of the Halloween rally to see where you are as far as what is left for you to pay!
Remember this year the rally is Oct. 2 - 4, 2009 which is why I am asking for the rest of the monies now. Also pm me with your extended staying.
Page 1 shows that we are paid in full but did we add our $5 for the pancake breakfast?
Hi Kim,
Paid in full is only for the camp site. You still need the $5.00 for breakfast.
Bob,
Do you want the full balance for the camp-out or the full balance of the "Deposit" Sorry, I'm just a little confused.

It might be glass half full or half empty!
The rest of what you owe depending on how long you plan on staying if any longer than two nights plus $5.00 for each family for the pancake breakfast!

Are you saying that you now want the ones that paid in full, to now send you another payment for $5
or can we pay you at the rally

What I am confused about is the amount......
I know that we paid a $25 deposit but the amount per night is not on the 1st post any longer. I think it was $25 per night but I seem to remember something about extra for an extra space or something (or maybe I'm thinking of another rally). I also thought that we were only to pay for one night up front and the balance when we arrived (I thought that's how it was last year). All that info is missing...................
At any rate....I don't know how much to send you. :(
Wayne,
Ok I can see thru the confusion.
Here is this year's procedure.
Some of the folks have paid in full and included their $5.00 for the their family to have the pancake breakfast. Some have not paid the $5.00 but still paid their two nights worth of camping. What I had mentioned before in a post long ago was that this year we would like to have the $$$ up front for the person who is going to go buy the groceries.
Their is no extra site that anyone is paying for in this rally. As of today I do have 2 sites available due to the fact that I can't get ahold of Jendak and her brother. I might have another if I can't get ahold of Surfcampers this weekend.
This year due to what we learn by trial and error that I wanted to get the monies put up front before we got to camp so that I would not have the drama that I have had in the past with the campground. Each campground is run differently and we have sent them the first initial deposit. Some of you may already know that your first deposit checks have not been cashed due to some of you asking to hold them. We are fine with the campground at this point but if you have only sent a deposit of $25.00; you need to send another $25.00 if you are staying 2 nites. If you are bringing a dog then it's a dollar per dog per day.
So recaping all of this:
It's $25.00 per night per a family of 4.
It's $1.00 per dog per day.
It's $5.00 per family for pancake breakfast paid now. If you have not paid already.
Thanks for letting me be your wagonmaster.

Thanks for the clarification Bob. We appreciate all the effort that goes into all of this................I just couldn't remember what the "cost per night" was and all that info is missing from the 1st post.
It may not be a bad idea to put that info back in the 1st post. This thread is now over 200 posts long and it's a pretty daunting task to wade through all of it to try to figure out what the bottom line is..........or maybe I'm the only one that has a bad memory......:morning:

I suppose all that time at sea has done a number on the brain cells. We are going to go to Morro Bay for 3 nights, after this camp-out. Anyone interested in coming along. There are still some "dry" sites available. We're going to do Hearst Castle.
Then we're going to head up Hwy 1 to Carmel By the River Campground, in Carmel for a few days.

I'm not sure where you were looking. Try here for Morro Bay and just put in Oct 4 and enter the # of days that you want. I just checked and there are about 30 sites available from 25'-35' (no hook-ups). We are in site #82 (#83 is a 25' H/C site :)).

Thanks Bob. We are starting to pack now. Is it time to leave yet???
Wayne
You can start to pack but I think you have one or two more campouts before Halloween. Just be ready to have fun and enjoy!
Bob, I can't find any information either on this thread's first page or on the campground's website about tents in the RV spots. Are they allowed?
Laura

Laura
No they are not they have a seperate tenting section
Quote from: Freedom_5;208718Hi Kim,
Paid in full is only for the camp site. You still need the $5.00 for breakfast.
I'll give you the $5 at the campground.
Bob, have you received our check?
Hi Guys,
We just got back right now from a week of vacation!
We received checks from Dave (Griffsdad), Laura (Azusateach), Bryan (Crowbar4), and Lois & Howard (Hatlet)!
I will update page one right after this post!
Hello to all who are going to the Halloween Rally this year.
It's getting closer to the witching hour!
I have still not heard from Jendak, Surfcampers, Chris H, and Beacher you are lagging behind with the payment plan.
I would like to know if anyone would want to volunteer to do the crafts project this year?
You can all start throwing me your selections of what you want to make for the potluck dinner on Saturday night. For you newbies, that means that you are making a dish, bringing a dish or washing everyone's dishes to a Potluck that we generally have on Saturday night around 6 pm. Make enough for your family and two to three more people. We always have plenty.
Hey Bob,
I'm happy to do a craft project this year. I just ordered some kits from Oriental Trading for the kids to make Halloween door hangers ("enter if you dare"). It's easy for the young ones and cute enough for the older kids.
Hey Bob and everyone from SCCampers:
Thank you for the birthday wishes. Also Bob, I received your message the other day. Just got back from the coast about 30 min ago. So far we are clear to go to the rally. Nothing is on Kylie's band schedule for that weekend. Let me know how much we owe, so that we can get you a check. The two four legged kids will be joining us as well.

This is what I'm talking about! I put out a request and a offer to help comes.
Thank you so much for stepping up to the plate. I accept your offer to head the craft project. I'm sure you'll need some helpers and that we can count on more volunteers to help you.

Ronnie,
You could have just called me back but I'm happy to see you get on and post your reply.
The fee for the rally is as follows:
It's $25.00 a nite.
Each dog is a $1.00 per day.
Don't forget to add in the $5.00 for the pancake breakfast on Saturday.
So tally up on how long you are going to be there. Remember it is Oct. 2 - 4, 2009 but you can come in earlier or stay longer but so far everyone is leaving on Sunday!
Send us the total amount this week if possible. You know where we live.
In case anyone of you are bored click on the webshots in my signature for Freedom_5. You will find our latest pictures, all 378 of them from our Utah trip that we just came back from!

oh ya that's a good one
how about E.T
Ok, so far we have:
1. A Peanuts Halloween - the Great Pumpkin
2. Nightmare Before Christmas
3. Monsters Inc.
4. ET
Other suggestions - Keep them coming
Beetlejuice would be a no
Coraline
Harry Potter movies - the first one would probably be the best choice
I vote for Coraline. It is a really good movie for kids and adults alike. Very entertaining.
Dave, correct me if I am wrong but did'nt you show "Haunted Manison" last year?
Another movie comes to mind is "Monster House".
Now this little message is for everyone who has not paid anything yet or just your deposit!
You need to remember that time is drawing near and we will have to deposit everyones final checks by Sept. 10, 2009. This gives you plenty of advance notice. If you have invited a family that does not receive this message then please call them and let them know to send in their monies.
Don't forget about the breakfast monies. Speaking of the pancake breakfast, we will need volunteers for the pancake breakfast AND electric griddles! Probably a portable generator or two would help so we don't blow the fuse box over and over!
We can bring our griddle and I can help with pancakes again this year.

It was Beetlejuice - sorry
Bob we'll have our big propane stove/griddle for when all the power blows again and we can save the day or just start out with it this year plus you know we'll help with cooking/cleaning where ever needed......May I add that voting on those tee shirts was so hard the drawing's were so talented and I wanted them all........Good work everyone!
Can't wait till it's time to camp with everyone again.......
We will bring our electric griddle........ Can't wait
I will bring my griddle for it's annual usage:p
Hello All
Let me introduce ourselves. (Pete_N_Linda) I?m Pete Westray and my wife is Linda. We live in Oxnard and are recumbent riding friends of Brad and Mary. We also love camping in our older pop-up (1979 Starcraft). We recently joined the online forum and hope to attend the Halloween camp in Santa Paula with our 8yr old grandson. We look forward to meeting and sharing good times with many of you. Whats the proceedure for getting on the waiting list, paying, what to bring and share, etc.
Welcome Pete and Linda.
Bob (Freedom-5) will get in touch with you soon, there may be an opening. Looking forward to meeting you.
Jamesdad
Welcome to PUT!
Mary has invited you guys for the Great Halloween rally of 09'!
We do have a spot for your family. I will private message you my address tonight.
You are getting in at the right time. The biggest request that I have for you is:
A) Learn the SCCamper song. Need to be able to sing it at the first campfire.
B) Read the Hallowen posts in the SCCampers forum.
C) What ever Wayne says about dues and he being the treasurer don't listen to him.
Other than i need to know your overall trailer length; and any dogs coming?
The campground is Far West resorts in Santa Paula. The dates are Oct 2-4.
You can come setup a day earlier if you want, there will be at least 7-8 familes already there. All but one family is leaving on Sunday. We will being having a pancake breakfast, Saturday morning around 9 am. The cost for your family is $5.00 paid up front with your campground fee to me, the wagonmaster. Bring a bundle or two of firewood for the nightly gathering. There will be a movie show on a big screen for the kids. Possible story telling by Ms. Lori again. Decorate your trailer contest ( no prizes for that) An outing to a local pumpkin patch (your discretion). Adult time at the main campfire nightly. Kids will have a costume contest then go from trailer to trailer with their goody bags for hand outs of Halloween candy. Their is one child that I know of that can not have anything sugar so something sugar free would be appropriate.
We will need volunteers to work the kitchen for the pancake breakfast and clean up. There will be a pot luck dinner at 6 ish on Saturday nite. Make enough for your family and another. Ask Mary she will tell you the details.
If you have any special requests or needs see Me while there camping or pm before. I need your monies by the deadline of Sept. 14. So now all you have to do is stay current on reading the up coming rally progress and what you are going to bring to the potluck.

Hi gang...
I received in the mail yesterday, a flier for "Family Fun @ Faulkner Farms" pumpkin patch. I was able to get ahold of Maria who is one of the many volunteers that put on the weekend fun at the pumkin patch.
Admission is $3.00 per person. They are open from 10 am to 5 pm. It is put on by the Roatary club of Santa Paula and the University of Calif. Hansen Agricultural center.
They have face painting; Hayrides, mini train rides and pony rides. A pumpkin chucker! A farmers market and festive music and vendor foods. Maria told me that their pumpkin patch does not smell like the one we went to a couple of years ago!
I have a "hotlink" on page one to show you some pictures of the patch. I choose not to do the group gathering and let you all decide for yourselfs.
We are planning on going after breakfast and cleanup. Depending on who is going with us, I may have room for one or two more people. Prices for the pumpkins are better than the grocery stores, so I have been told. The food vendors range from tri-tip to fish tacos to pizza from Dominoes.

Bob,
what is the earliest we can arrive on Friday? We have a lot to set up and would like to get an early start.
:-()
I want to try and answer the last question first then give out a few details.
Check in time is 2:00 pm. Now if your site is vacant and CLEAN; I don't think they would have too much trouble letting you in early. Besides the registering at the desk. I want to say that I have the campground people in agreement BUT something has come up that you ALL should know about.
It was brought to my attention by Brad, that Far West is selling their campground as we speak! The board of supervisors are to vote on the sale this Tuesday! This is just like last year's drama except that I have emailed two different officials who have expressed that the sale could happen and be final between the dates of Oct. 1 - 7, 2009! They assured me in their email's that our reservations and rates will not be affected!
I asked if the sale does go thru as planned that they could send a representaive to the campground and tell us about the future of the campground!
Again I don't want to start a panic! We are fine for this rally! Don't worry be happy!
As far as decorating our campsites I'm stuck in the middle as to what approach I should consider in asking either the present people working there or ask the contact that i have started having a conversation with in this transition!
Since I seem to be on a roll with bad news; there have been a few cancellations in the group and were are down to five maybe four trailers up in Alder. Would anyone rather have a close knit group up in Alder, away from the noise and action that will happen in Birch? At the present moment I'm looking for volunteers. Bear in mind that the sites up in Alder are great, lots of shade for the most part, closer to the bathrooms but only have a 20 amp electrical box at each site. They do also have water hook ups at each site.

for those of you who might not Know if you get an adaptor for your special 30 amp plug to a reguler plug you will be fine. shouldn't need to run the A/C
Thanks Dee,
I believe the adapter plugs sell for about $6.00 each.
we'll go into alder, we would like either site #4 or 5
The circle just keeps getting smaller and smaller If two more families have drama, we will all be in Birch and nobody from our group will be in Alder unless they so choose.
This is not to jinx more people cancelling!
I appreciate Hatlet for wanting to help out! It makes the decision making that much easier.
Thank you.
Bob
Hi All,
A couple of things to mention.
The sale of the campground was approved on Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2009.
Please do not call the campground, they are pretty much in the dark about this. I will get more details as they come to me from one of the new owners that I am in contact with presently.
DK3&kids have cancelled. So now we are down to two trailers in Alder! Hatlet wants one of the prefered sites and I agreed to that.
Lastly for now, all the checks that have been sent to us were deposited today! Any checks that are coming after today will be deposited as we get them, unless you tell us otherwise. I only have four familes that are not paid up at this time. Two of the families are sending their checks as we speak. 58air actually over paid at the present moment unless they are staying an extra night. So Harald if you are reading this let me know what you want me to do with the extra money. You had put a cash deposit of $25 down already and then we got a check for $53.00?

I need a keeper these days.....Or something....Glad you know what I'm doing because I sure don't.......
We found out last week that Sarah now has the VERY EARLY symptoms of Diabetes so that make 2 of our children with it. So far, Matt is clear. Josh and Sarah would LOVE any NO SUGAR treats for trick-or-treating . Sarah is struggling with not being able to have sugar so anything special will lesson her withdrawls.
Oops,
Bob, if it is okay with you I can just get the extra I paid in cash from you at the rally.
Harald
Well, we are now down to one family up in Alder!!! Hatlet you can tell me your top 3 choices by next Friday.
For those who are keeping track of the number of kids and adults; we are now @ 55 adults and 30 kids!!!
To Jeanne (Chezway)
You had mentioned back on page 23; post # 232 about doing the craft project. Are you ready for what you need as far as supplies. I know you could use a few volunteers!!!
Bob, have you considered splitting the group up between the two areas? Alder appears to have a large center section that might be good for potlucks, etc., just a thought
Howard,
There are a few ways to go with this large of a group. In the beginning we had the right amount of sites. I was able to get both upper and lower level for the Halloween rally together for one weekend. We had to go early because the other weekends were booked up. Splitting up the group is not real good when the other non-SCCampers that would be in Birch and ALder feel left out because they did not know that this is our Halloween Rally.
Then the last week, people have been PM'ing or calling me to say that they needed to cancel. I said no problem;
We have up till a week before to cancel and no one looses their money! Remember you can cancel up to one week before for anyone who might be on the fence thinking about it.
I have kept a penciled copy of people and sites. It easier to erase!!!
You came forward and volunteered to go up top. I applauded your action. Then another canceled a few days ago and then another canceled yesterday. Life does get in the way camping, I understand that a lot!
So To make a long story short, The wagonmaster is going to take the one spot up in Alder so everyone else can be together, on one level! I think it is the best way to go. I can still be available for any problems and really only need the site for setup and sleeping. I won't be decorating as much as I would have liked, but it is for all of you and the kids! Besides we only have to walk 50 yards to hang out! When I call tomorrow and tell the campground to release all but one site in ALder, they will be happy.
Bob, or anyone keeping a tally-
Kristi and Melissa will be camping with the Brownies down at San Mateo, so Jason and I will make 1 child and one adult.
Jim
Thank you for the update! I will make the correction.
Bob,
Both Lois and I agree that the wagonmaster should be with the group. We do not mind being up at the Alder site so just leave things as they are.
See you soon.
Howard
Howard,
Im putting you in Alder, site #6!
Bob, that's the handicap site, please put us in #4 or 5
Howard,
The pencil has moved you to site # 5. My bad with the handicap site. I was trying to keep us close to the stairs and each other's trailer's.
Bob

Hey Bob, The craft project is under control--it's basically just putting together a Halloween themed door hanger with glue.

I think he's waiting until the "one week" cancellation gaurantee when no more changes will be made..
Ok, Ok, I get the message. Carol wants to be where the action is. right? They would really want me to be in Birch, Right? But Dee is right about posting sites, every day for the past 12 days, we have had to erase and redo the list so until the cancellations are done, I will wait till then!
Any family who is even remotely thinking about canceling, has to do it by this Wed, the 23 of Sept, 2009; or you will loose your deposit! Nothing I can do to stop that!

Hola' everyone....
I want to give out a list of things that seem to be forgotten thru these many pages of posts!
1. Bring Firewood.
2. Check your propane bottles this weekend. Fill them up if needed!
3. Check your trailer batteries, Start putting them on trickle charge.
4. My favorite~ Check your tires on TV and Trailer!!!!!!!!!
5. Remember bags of candy for the trick or treater's.
6. Remember something without sugar for both Josh and Sarah.
7. Bring decorations for your campsite.
8. Bring griddles, measuring cups, paper plates for the pancake breakfast.
9. Money for poker games!
10. Your childs costume!
11. SCCamper flags and flag holders.
12. Tools, Duct tape, work gloves.
13. Be mindful of other campers at night time, Try to keep it to low roar!
14. No Swearing!!! Too many kids!!!
15. Something for the potluck dinner. That means extra portions to fix!
Please post what you going to be bringing. I will be updating page 1 this weekend!
16. If possible try to locate some Halloween table cloths for the potluck dinner tables.
Now just a few points of interest: SATURDAY, OCT. 3, 2009
1. The campgrounds will ask if you have more than FOUR people in your family. With that being said, you are either going to say you only have 4 and hide a kid or two or pay extra for over the limit of four per site.
2. The pancake breakfast is @9:00 am! Anyone that has not paid must do so on Friday night. Im not handling money on Saturday morning! Bring a five dollar bill or five singles!
3. Bring your own utensils and paper plates to eat with.
****After breakfast, you are on your own till ?****
4. The craft project won't start until 3:00 pm. Please be prompt. Need parents to help their smaller kids with the glue.
5. At 4:30 pm the kids will have the costume contest. It will be held in the Birch campfire area!
Top 3 winners get first crack at the prizes! The following categories are:
The Cutest....The Funniest.....The Scariest!!!
The rest of the kids that come in costume will take turns at the prize table.
5B. Group picture with the kids in costume right before trick or treating, at site to be determined!
6. To the parents of kids that will be in the contest; remember to bring one prize per child less than $5.00. If you have two kids then two prize's less than $5.00 each.
7. The Trick or Treating will start right after the judging of the costume contest. Again both Josh and Sarah can not have anything with sugar so when they come to call at your trailer give something that is non-sugar!
8. Potluck dinner is 6-ish pm. To be held in the Birch campfire area. Please be aware of your child and the portions they scoop out. We won't run out of food but we certainly don't want to throw away food not eaten!
Again bring your own plates, utensils, cups and napkins/paper towels.
9. A movie for the kids after it gets dark! The Breat Pumpkin/Charlie Brown & Coraline! Possible story telling by Griffsmom!
10. Kick back by the campfire and let the poker games begin!
Last thoughts for now: Please behave, have a great campout, fun with your kids.
Maybe mark your lawn chairs with luggage tags with your name on them. That way we can find the right owner.
Let us not get thrown out of the campground!
The showers in the bathrooms take only quarters! Bring 6 quarters per person per shower!
who cares about batteries, we have elec!!
Three cheer's for Bob...an awesome wagonmaster...great job, Bob.
Jamesdad
Bob, since no one has stepped forward, let me volunteer to be the judge for the best costume and best decorated RV at this rally. That being said, I'm more than happy to take bribes, gifts, cases of beer, large bottles of whiskey, or what other gratuity you want to bestow on me to guarantee; I mean increase the likelihood; that your child and or your RV will win a prize. There is no "Code of Conduct" for SCCampers.
PS - We have recently checked the books and we have noticed that Wayne has not paid his dues in over three years. Wayne as you are acutely aware - there is a 10% annual penalty. Your prompt payment would be appricated by your fellow SCCampers.
Dave;
I will accept your self nomination of being a judge! Of course have you check with your better half, Lori; AKA: The Judge!
PS: there is no prize for best RV decorating, just the bragging rights!

;) Michael cannot wait for this campout! :tent:
So that I do not forget anything...
1. We need to bring a prize for the costume contest-
I heard around $5.00. Does it need to be wrapped? If yes, does it need to say the age and gender?
If not, does it matter if it is gender specific or not?
2. We need candy for approx. 30+ children.
3. Need to bring Potluck food.
4. Need my large bowl and ladle for Pancake breakfast.
5. $ for Poker
Anything else?
No, I am not talking about dues or singing or any of that nonsense!:screwy:

About the craft--I have enough for 48 kids--it's a simple Oriental Trading Halloween themed door hanger craft kit that just requires a bit of glue. I even have one reserved for Wayne :D.
Hi all,
We just got back from being down in the South Bay area today.
Total count for children under the age of 18 is 40 as of Sunday night 9/27/09.
Wayne, I am going to post the directions to the campground on Monday.
Margaret, You do not have to wrap the prize! The winners get first crack at the prize table then. we have the youngest group go next until all participants have cleared the table.
Hope that clears up some issues.
Thanks for the clarification.:D

Some easy directions for this weekend's Halloween Rally!
Directions
Most everyone will be coming from the southland. The 5 fwy, to the 126 highway. The few from Ventura know their way! The others from the North have been given a map or know the way.
From Highway 126 take the 10th Street/Highway 150 exit into Santa Paula. Continue through the city of Santa Paula, approximately 7 miles north towards Ojai. Stay in the right hand lane as 10th Street/Highway 150 splits. At the second Steckel County Park entrance, make a right on Mupu Road, and a right on Pine Grove Road. Proceed to the Far West Resorts entrance.
If this is confusing look on page one and click on the "FarWestResort's" link and then look at the top of their web page to get map directions!

First Sunday
Every First Sunday of the month, please come out to visit our Museum! Local aviation history comes alive on First Sundays. Our Chain of Hangars are open for you to explore from 10am until 3pm.
Hangar Number One is the first in our chain of hangars. It tells the story of the founding of Santa Paula Airport in 1930, and that's just the beginning of the adventure. Each of these privately owned hangars in our Chain houses a variety of vintage aircraft and privately owned collections of various types of memorabilia from antique radios to racecars. Several other aircraft owners put their antique aircraft on static display and many vintage aircraft also fly in each month. Car Clubs also frequently grace our taxiways on First Sundays. Our Museum Tram is available to save you some steps between hangars. The Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 723 offers free airplane rides to kids ages 7-17. The Museum's Gift Hangar, located inside CP Aviation, offers a wonderful variety of toys and apparel for the airplane buffs of all ages. Every First Sunday is a little different, but our First Sunday Open House is always free to the public. Cancel if rain.

Dear Wagonmaster Bob,
We are going to be arriving pretty late on Friday. We called the campground and they said they can check us in until 9:00 p.m.; otherwise, we should consult the map, pull in to our spot and check in the next morning. What we're not sure of is whether we should look under our name or do you reserve the spots as "Scampers"? Also, when is the pancake breakfast and the potluck? We are really looking forward to our very first camping with all of you!

Otherwise, I'll see everyone at the campfire after 10...unless Griffin hijacks me into just laying down with him "for 10 minutes." ;)

I still have to plan meals and maybe shop, but Jason and I hope to be on the road at 2:25 sharp and in camp by 5:00.
(Note- "plan meals" is really wander around the store randomly grabbing things until my cart appears to have enough food for the trip).
one last wakeup for the rest of us....hopefully...........see everyone there.
All sites are open if you are planning to come early. The weather is gorgeous. No wind and warm during the day and cool at night. Only issue are the flies during the day.
Ya...Like Dave said it's soooooooo pretty up here and perfect weather yesterday we went the the Union Oil museum and had a good time....John really liked seeing everything there. Just found out today we have internet....What fun.....
Oh dear the wind just starting up......Not bad but I sure hope we do not have to take down our decorations again.....:(
oh yeah!! internet!!
What a great Halloween rally! We met so many new families, the food was great and the Haunted house was exceptional! We were sorry to see Laura having to head out with Jed. We are glad he is doing better and look forward to seeing you both again at another rally! Oh, and the traffic was great going home...record time, under 20 minutes! LOL
Mary, Brad & Sean
Thanks Bob and Trina for putting on a great rally, looking forward to next year

Thanks Bob and Trina it was a great rally and we had a good time (sign us up for next year).
The food was great - I like the pumpkin dutch oven dish, so to who ever made it thanks.
I am glad everyone liked the Haunted House and thanks to those who helped. Next year should be even better (we have some ideas).
Ronin said thanks for the votes it is tough being a porcupine.
Except for the fact that I did not win a single hand at poker - we had a wonderful time and look forward to seeing everyone next time.
What a great Rally. We all enjoyed ourselves. We had a fun side trip on the way home too. We stopped at the Santa Paula Airport for the monthly open house. Kendall and Cameron and I got to take a free airplane ride in a little 1946 four seater.:-() Kurtis was too young so he stayed on the ground with Dieter. Kendall got to steer the plane for about 10 minutes and I steered for a while as well. Cameron wasn't feeling the need to drive this time (it was his first plane ride so I think he had a little case of butterflies) We went out over Ventura and over the ocean and then inland over Lake Casitas and past our campground on the way back to the airport. We will post pictures later when we get them off the camera.
As always, we had a great time. The weather was gorgeous...the only bummer is it's over :( so I guess we just have to start planning for next year!
Thank you to all of my kitchen helpers...many hands made light work. Hopefully, next year the electrical issue will be solved. The poker tourney was super fun, the potluck was oh so yummy, the costumes great, haunted house was soooo spooky.
It's all good
Thank you all for a super rally!
To all the kitchen helpers, whether you were making, serving, or doing cleanup>GREAT JOB!
To: Dieter, for making the T-shirts again this year!
To: Dave, Lori and Wynn, for their hospitably and good times playing poker!
To: Harold & family, Karen & Wes, and Jennie & Jim and family for putting an AWESOME Haunted house this year! Over the top according to the survey of surivors! Even the campground managers came and said how great it was!
To: Bryan & Jerry for helping me with bunk bed in the trailer. Bryan says when he get's the bracket that needs fixing it will never have a problem again.
To: All the new families that were able to come and experience our group; we hope you all had a great time.
The pumpkin patch this year was really a great place to spend time with most of you! Everyone was pleased with the farm! We got a killer deal on the huge white pumpkin!
The Halloween Costume Contest; the kids out did themselfs! We have never seen a "porcupine" before! Thank you also to our five Judges!
To the all our friends who came and made this Halloween Rally a success, Thanks so much! Looking forward to seeing you soon, at the next campout!
Lastly, we pray that Jed, makes a speedy recovery!
Another awesome rally, they only get better. Thank you Bob and Trina for wagon mastering it again. Its a big job and you did an awesome job.
It was great seeing everyone again and meeting all the new people, hope you all come back now ya' hear.

THANK YOU, BOB AND TRINA!!!! It was another fabulous rally. It is our family's favorite and this year was great as usual. Your hard work in planning this for 12 months is truly appreciated.
We love our t-shirts, the potluck, the pancake breakfast, the haunted house, the costumes and the trick-r-treaters. We too really enjoyed the pumpkin patch. Congratulations to Gerardo for winning the 2009 ScCampers Poker Tournament! Wear your t-shirt with pride! Thanks Dave for putting the tournament together.
Calico in less than 3 weeks!!! Yippee!
LOST and FOUND Dept:
We have a blue and white collapsable bowl. It might have had ribs in it!
We found a green camping chair with a green cover; torned on the bottom.
Could be Jamesdad's!
A Coleman red and black camping chair cover!
So far that's it! Still need to look in the drawers for small items.
It's not mine...THIS TIME....ah, well, maybe let me see it?:confused:.
QuoteThe food was great - I like the pumpkin dutch oven dish, so to who ever made it thanks.
Thanks for the compliment! I love making that dish this time of year...it works great in the oven at home too!
Again, thank you for the great haunted house and letting Sean be part of it...he had a great time!

Thank you to everyone who gave Josh & Sarah sugar Free goodies. Sarah & Josh REALLY appreciated getting things that they can have. It brought a big smile on Sarah's face when she saw all the things just for her.
Also, we are missing a Nitendo DS "Lego Batman" game. It has Matt's name on it. Let us know if anyone found it.

My family and I had a blast this past weekend! It was great to see everyone, and meet new families!!
We look forward to seeing everyone's pictures, (because my camera and cell/camera-phone batteries BOTH died DURING the costume contest)! The potluck was fantastic, Mmmmmmmm, the DO pumpkin, apple chili, chicken, slabs of roast beef, ribs, pulled pork, and much more meat............, (insert drooling smiley here).
Ian LOVED the "terrifying" haunted house after finally entering after his fourth attempt!

Excellent! I'm starving and forgot to bring lunch. I'm at the Santa Ana Courthouse; Civil Complex Unit. ;)
Sue and I enjoyed the rally, people, location and the Pumpkin Patch (scooters not freeway legal so we took the scenic route). Looking forward to next years with our grandaughters, and maybe Courtney (dog).

Quote from: Freedom_5;197374You know what, the large prediction number that I forcasted, was based on the the after glow of the rally! The numbers each year continue to count after we get back and say how great the wagonmaster was again and talk him into doing it again! Make the contest end after the rally like say Oct. 31, 2009! Halloween night at midnight! That would be appropriate to our theme of "Trick or Treat"!
So here is the results for this past Halloween Rally:
Toni = 900
Mike = 928
Dieter = 1001
Dee = 1188
Lori = 950
Carol = 1002
Bob = So far off; it's not funny! lol

Actually Wayne did not get in this pool of posts! I did leave Jendak out only because she said "1313" and never reponded to my emails, pm's or other forms of contact. I don't think she has been on in months!
