Any recommendations for the Greenville area CG's and the Moosehead lake area? The DW heard it's a nice area from a friend that had camped around there. Thinking mid to late summer trip. thanks
Hi Alan and Shari I am new to this site and have just purchase a new to me 2004 pop up this past Sunday. We are also from LI in Baldwin. I have booked a trip for Early August 2009 at a campground called South Arm in the Maine lakes region. Frommer's rates it as Maine's most beautiful campgroundin the North East.
Do not go to Maine from Mid May through Early July because the black flies are out in force. That is why we booked for the first week in August.
Hope to see you guys around some campsites in the future.
Jim, thanks for your suggestion. We're going to Lily Bay SP on Moosehead lake. We have freinds who have been there and liked it. We're going the last week of Aug. before school starts up again.
