I've been done for the year. Fall camping is one thing but that winter stuff...my goal in life is to become a "snow bird" before the snow starts to fall, I want to fly/drive off to a warmer climate...Sort of goes along well with my other goal when I grow up...to become a campground host!

If we had a hardside, I think we would be going out this weekend, rain or shine.

We've got our New Years trip yet, leaving on the 27th and going south...to Pittsburgh!  I'm hoping to come back on the 2nd so we can get at least one 2009 night in.  That would probably be it until April.

Well, I think what you need is a TrailManor............hardside Pop-up.

Guess when we are ready to upgrade, I'll start looking on Craig's List for something.
They have been available in our area before in the past.

My camper is in the shop AGAIN, with lift system/roof problems, so I have to be done for the year. I won't be able to do the New Years eve trip I was hoping for.:(

My pampered baby (pup) has been resting in the heated garage since Nov. 3.  If you haven't heard yet, I got a 2000 Trailmanor 2720sl.  It is currently sitting outside.  Yesterday, I brought home a 2004 Nissan Pathfinder.  We now have 7 vehicles on our car insurance.  I better get a darn nice Christmas card from them!

Soory to hear you're having trouble Tracy. What happened?

Nancy you might want to update your signature.:D

Di my lift system is screeching (again) on the way up and it does  not want to come down.  When I turn the crank to bring  down the roof, the crank turns and it makes noises, then finally the roof comes down. :(

Wow, Tracy.  Sorry to hear about your problems.

Sounds like too much cold weather camping.  That roof's tough to move with all that snow on it!  Seriously, you do use your camper a lot.  Here's hoping it's fixed fast and you're back on the road soon.

I guess "screeching" is better than it falling down on you. So that's the bright side. Hope you get it worked out so you'll be ready to go ASAP. I was going to say by spring, but I realized that would be torture for you.

We are planning a one night trip next Saturday to a regional park about an half hour from the house. I don't really know what to expect as to whether or not it will be crowded or not. Last year we went the day after Thanksgiving not thinking it would be crowded and we got the last spot. We had frost the last two mornings as we are a little colder than normal for this time of year so I know our heater will get a workout next weekend. We are also planning another trip in mid January.

My last trip to a local SP about 25 minutes from our home.  It is closed now until mid April, so no more close to home trips. :)
