Title: Yellowstone and Hybrid Trailers
Post by: camperjohn on Feb 18, 2009, 02:13 PM
I was just wondering if anyone knew if the CG in Yellowstone allows Hybrid travel trailers.  They seem to state Hard sided trailers and I assume this is so bears and the like will be less in interested in trying to open the wrapper to get their food.  Has anyone heard of or have themselves stayed in the Yellowstone campground with their Hybrid TT?

Just thinking maybe for next year.

As far as I know Fishing Bridge campground is the only campground in Yellowstone that will not allow tents, pop ups and most likely hybrids. And yes it's because of the Grizzly issue. There are other campgrounds that will allow you to set up though. Go to //www.nps.gov and check them out.

Good Luck

We are hoping on visiting Yellowstone in the next couple years and am planning on turtling it during our stay.  It's not very convenient but better be safe than sorry.

That's one of the nice things about our TrailManor. It's totally hard sided but it's a Pop-up too.

Well all this talk of Bears at Yellowstone is making me nervous about giving Yellowstone a try.

Follow all the rules and you'll have a blast.....It's the ones that do not that have the trouble.  Have a great time it's worth the drive.
