Has anyone used or tried the "solar panels"that Walmart sells on their website,as well as Coleman website. They seem to have good reviews and dont require alot of hookup.I know they arent as strong as the larger units, but seems like for a PUP,they would be fine for keeping the battery charged...

What is the wattage? Can you post a link?
Wavely, The wattage on the Solar panel is 9watts.The unit is a 12V 9 -watt Solar Charger. They are found on Walmart website under solar chargers. Please advise what you think...........Thank you
Ranger, save your money...those little things might maintain a charge if the battery is sitting in between use. We never really got down and dirty calculating our use, but we are generally light on the battery use and wouldn't go with any less than 45 watts.

45W should be the minimun. Power = W/V
45W/12V= 3.75A at 100% efficiency
Dead battery = 50AH short at 50% of a 100AH battery and this = 13.3 hours of charge time.
How do I know?
