I don't know.  Its a Self service rally, meaning you need to check Reserve america and see if there are sites left.

San Elijo is just north of Del Mar near Encinedas.  Really nice CG one of our favorites.

this time can be so busy for me. I look at what was available and I won't fit. hey Carol if I get the state handicap pass is it only good on handicap sites?

they say driveway is 30 ft and no rv longer than 24 and maynot accomodate slideouts.. I'm 29 ft not counting opening the back garge door
I am thinking about making a day trip...

So does this mean that the fees are up to $50.00 per night now?
Darn!  Wish we lived closer!  San Diego is a bit far for us for only a couple of nights.

Price Rate:*  $55.00 Per Night, $385.00 Per Week

That's for an inland, full hook-up site and also a beach-front site (no hook-ups).

Beach-front, full hook-ups:
Price Rate:*  $65.00 Per Night, $455.00 Per Week

It's still a decent value for some........too rich for our blood.

We'll stick to beach-front, dry camping @:
Price Rate:*  $50.00 Per Night, $350.00 Per Week

Site 22 is too small and it appears site 108 right behind 22 is too small; length 20' - remember we were there in Oct. in site 25 - and there is no way we could fit in site 22 and it would appear that 108 is the same size. thanks though

That's to bad we will miss you.....Sure can't tell by those pic's....I know sometimes they are wrong however you can fit just takes lots of work getting our rigs into the site....we had a very small site at Dohney one time and Jim had a heck of a time getting our Trailer into it.... We would not have made it with yours with those drop down beds.....Again sorry we'll miss you,,,,

Carol,

Tell him about the sites that we had at Carmel by the River.......OMG:yikes:

We had to use a shoe horn to get the campers in there.

I Can't believe this site is going begging. I may just list it on craigslist.....it's @ the old price. I hate to just give it back to the State....then lose $15 on top of it....

Hahaaa  Yep those were really small and tight to make the turn and when we opened the awning if you could open it ( we couldn't ) it would have touched the fence.....Sometimes I really don't know how Jim gets that trailer into some of those spots....Plus there was the one trailer at time bridge into the box canyon what a spot.....It was pretty however.....
We went to Brad and Mary's on Friday and saw Sean in his School Play what a great job those kids did really enjoyed every minute of our visit except it was way to short we had to get up at 5 A.M. to get home by 9 Jim had a Dr's appointment today...( Yes a Saturday appt....)
Did I say what a good job Sean did last night in the play we sure did enjoy watching you dance SEAN.......
THANK-YOU BRAD,MARY AND SEAN.....:W:-():W

Dave I actually think you may fit in 108..states driveway length is 25 ft. if you back up all the way to the pavement edge it would work, by looking at the pic there is a space on the side for your car and it looks like enough open space in the back for the bed to hang. How long would it take you to drive there?? go check it out..I'm just saying...

Please tell me that you guys aren't going to go all out like at Halloween:yikes:  Oh the pressure:eyecrazy:   We don't have power at our site, but could we borrow someone else's in order to put up some lights?

Also, would anyone be interested in doing some Christmas carolling??? I've got some hats (somewhere) and a booklet of songs which I can make copies of for all. (We sometimes go around the neighborhood carolling...if I'm organized enough that year!!).

As for a potluck dish, I haven't decided yet...but it'll be a main dish of some kind...is that vague enough???:D

Weren't you running the arts and crafts stuff at the Halloween campout? I can't tell from your moniker (does no one else believe in using their real name??), but I thought it was you.  I really do behave pretty well most of the time, so maybe you don't realize you met me.  My hubby won the poker championship, if that helps.

Quote from: cjpoppin;213147I like the rain.....Kinda have to if you are a SCCamper......;)

Not much chance of rain until Monday. I predict that LA will get very little to no rain out of this system, as usual. I think that north of Point Conception will get brutally punished. There is a storm just West of us and heading East with another (more powerful) storm right on it's tail. As always, we are at the very Southern edge of this storm and all indications are that it will continue to travel East, weaken and start to fall apart as it approaches land. That may eliminate the Southern portion of the storm as the low pressure system gets more centralized and drags it's lower component Northward, along the coast. That's the way it happens about 90% of the time. You won't hear that on the "Weather channel" because it doesn't make for very sensational news here in LA. .....It will be chilly and damp at night though......duhhhhh!! This is December........That's why we call it "Winter camping" :frosty:.

Bring plenty of firewood and plan on huddling by the fire....:D It could be worse.....we could be in Texas where they are going to get ice and snow........:frosty:.

http://weather.unisys.com/satellite/sat_ir_enh_west_loop-12.html
If you look at this image, you can see the system in the Pacific. It's formed a circular motion (which is weakening), with a counterclockwise rotation. That makes it a "Low pressure" system. You can see the storm directly behind it. That storm may have more of an impact as an area of low pressure develops behind it. There is a lot of moisture in that second system. However, I doubt that we will see much of it either (unfortunately).

I just called my daughter to see if I could kidnap my 11-year-old granddaughter for the weekend. She has 2 singing performances at senior centers, for Christmas. She can't miss that. :(

As the kids get older, it gets harder to take them along. They get involved in all sorts of stuff. I guess I'll have to wait to check into a senior citizens center to see my girl again......:p

Camping day! :-() I am going to pick the boys up an hour early and hope to get on the road by 1:30 (although I just found out I have to help with ice cream sales for the kindergarten kids before I can leave :yikes:). I am trying to get to the campground before it gets dark. I have a harder time seeing in the dark and I have never driven with the trailer before. I am confident that everything will work out and the boys and I should be to the campground by 4:00. :tent: Hopefully it won't be too late when Dieter meets us there tonight.

We were hoping to get out on the road by 2:30 but I ended up having to work today, so it'll be closer to 4:30...which means we'll probably be stuck in traffic forever!! :yikes:  It's a 1 1/2 hr. drive from Culver City to the CG, and that's assuming no traffic - and that we don't get lost (a family tradition of sorts).  Oh well, it's not like we haven't set up in the dark before.  And at least now we're not having to deal with tents!!:tent:

Dee,
No worries.  Isabel can go either way...girlie girl or tomboy.  She and her BFF play with both Barbies and water guns.  They are also into building forts with the dirtiest discarded toys imaginable.  So I'm sure Izzy will have lots of fun with Kara when they do finally meet.
