Title: My New Trailer
Post by: Azusateach on Nov 22, 2009, 10:47 AM
Well, it's a done deal.  The HTT is now sitting at Discount RV's lot and my new Keystone Hideout is home with me.  It was a busy day, getting everything set up on the Hideout, transferring stuff from one trailer to the other, and then getting the new one home.  It's amazing what a difference 6" in width and putting the couch in the front of the trailer makes.  It feels so much more spacious!

Here are a few pictures.  Marianne went with me to help with moving stuff, so while I was doing the paperwork she played photographer.

The bed is a fullsize, with a fold-down bunk above.  I'll probably use the bunk for storage:

Looking toward the front of the trailer from the bed:

The bathroom sink is outside the bathroom.  It has a shower/tub combo, which is behind the door on the left:

It came with an awesome entertainment center.  This flat-screen TV is 12-volt:

The radio has a DVD/CD player, auxiliary jack, and a USB port so I can attach my iPod.  Really impressive, if you ask me!

The galley.  I like the black fridge and the double sink:

The couch, which folds down into a nice-sized bed.  I like the low cupboard, which I'll use for an end table:

An electric awning.  Now maybe I'll use it more often!

All set up and ready to head home.  It's about a foot higher than the HTT was -- didn't realize it until I got it back to the lot and stood there looking at it.  Whew!

My first trip is in 2 weeks, and then I'm going to look for excuses to be sick at school and find anywhere I can to go out.  Then I'll be taking a 4-week trip to the NW this summer with friends.  I'm delighted with the change, and feel like it'll suit me much better than the HTT.  While I loved it, I just wasn't using it like I wanted.  Now I've got no excuses!

Y'all will have to come visit when we camp together again!

Congratulations Laura.  I know you will enjoy your new home away from home.  How long is it?  Did you pick this brand cause it matches your Explorer?:D

Beautiful trailer Laura. Just what Carolyn and I want after we retire and move to our Fallbrook house, where we can store a TT.
