If I had my way, I would go to national parks.
Most of our camping is at state parks. We're lucky to have several around us that are clean and have spacious sites. If we venture away we try to use a COA CG.
I voted "Other" because for me it would be "All of the Above"....
That being said, the last few years I've stayed only at Thousand Trails Campgrounds and Encore RV Parks (Encore is part of Thousand Trails), with a few State Parks and Army Corp campgrounds mixed in. Since I'm full time RV'er, the Thousand Trails thing works for me, no nightly fee's...! Can't beat that with a stick...
I'm going with all of the above too.
I will have to look at the polls, I think it only gives five options.
The cost for some of the private CGs has gone through the roof. A new CG opened here this year close to the big amusement park. Yes, they have a pool, stores, restaurants, kids activities, wi-fi, etc, etc, but the one night fee is $129 for a basic site. I think a full hook up site near everything is $189 a night. At those prices you have to be a millionaire to camp!
We really enjoy the state parks, but some of the private campgrounds, or at least ones that have good amenities we tend to find more enjoyable.
We will camp anywhere if we like the place.
It doesn't fit into the poll replies.... We go to state parks at least 50% of the time, sometimes county parks, sometimes private campgrounds. Usually not USFS or BLM because they generally have no hookups. My absolute favorite campground was a BLM site with full hookups. Sadly, it went up in flames in a 2020 forest fire and the sign at the front gate & flag pole are all that is left.
Public parks mostly, occasional KOA.
