I think I missed a week for my weekly poll.

We used to use those solar blankets. We were pretty happy with them, but they didn't cover the bunk end completely, We didn't want to spend the money on the pop-up gizmos but we finally did and have not looked back. No regrets they are great.

I wound up buying a large roll (48" wide) of Reflectix, and made my own using the shiney silver duct tape. They worked well on my Hybrid, and they wrapped all the way around the sides, only the end was open (to the window)...

I used solar blankets as well and had the same issue where they didn't completely cover the bunkend. For me it was not that big a deal. Most of the time we had shade anyway which helped. I do like how the gizmos fit. It's a clean install.

I bought Harbor Freight silver reflective tarps. Got ones larger than the bunk end and cut it to size. I use large binder clips to hold them on all three sides. Work well, and a cheap price.

Do these things really work, I looked them up. We have camped in our car I wonder if this will help since we have a glass roof.

They really do help keep our bunk ends cooler. Not sure how you'd could secure one to your Model Y. Wind is the one big thing you need to worry about.

when I used the generic solar covers they had grommets in each corner I suppose you could use some bungee cords going under the car.
