Title: Crock Pot Baked Potatoes
Post by: Huelskampers on Sep 28, 2003, 07:05 PM
One of our favorite camping meals as a family is T-Bones, baked potatoes and ceasar salad. Discovered a way to make baked potatoes in the crock pot that we liked so well, I started cooking them this way at home too!

 Baked Potatoes
Clean desired number of potatoes and poke several times with a fork. Wrap in foil. Place in crock pot so that each potato is touching either the side or bottom of the crock pot. Cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high from 2-3. No need to add water to the crock pot.

 Enjoy!

HuelskampersI have never tried this but have heard of people wrapping the potatoes in foil and placing on the engine manifold an hour or so prior to reaching stopping for a meal.  Similiar concept ot your crock pot.

HuelskampersI have always done my potatoes in the crockpot like that.  I make up extra so that in the morning, I can make home fries for breakfast.  It s fast and easy! :)
