A lot of you may have seen these " NeatSheets" . They have them in grocery stores, Wal-Marts, etc. I m not sure what it s made of--some kind of heavy paper towelling or something. It s double thickness and has weights along the edges in the hem to keep it from blowing away.

When I was shopping for groceries, etc., getting ready for my 10 day trip, I saw one of these and decided to buy one just to keep in the Durango. It comes all neatly rolled up. I thought it might come in handy for something.

Although we filled the holding tank up when we got to the campground, we went back to the water station the next day and filled up several Aqua-Tainers also. (Used those to fill up the Thetford potty, and to have water outside so we didn t have to keep going in and out.) Well, no matter how careful you are, the water jugs are always wet and usually get dirt on them from sitting on the ground while filling. Also, the hose always has water left in it no matter how carefully you drain it!

I got the NeatSheet out and spread it out in the cargo area of the Durango. It covered the whole area with room to spare. It keep the dirt off the carpet, and the water that drained out of the hose just beaded up!

When we were packing to leave last Monday, we left the NeatSheet in place. We had two coolers that had been sitting outside all week, and with the all the rain and the mud, they were kind of dirty on the bottom. Again, the carpet stayed clean.

I checked the label and the NeatSheet is washable. But if it gets too nasty you could just chuck it since it only costs a couple of bucks.

It would probably be handy to use at the beach, around the pool, etc.--anywhere you need some kind of blanket for ground cover.

labontefanWhat size are they? How many sheets are there to a package?

labontefan

labontefanThere s one per package. They come in two sizes. The regular size (the one I have) is 4 9"  x6 5" . There s also an XL or " family size"  which is 7 6" x9 6" . They re made by Kimberly Clark (the Kleenex people).

I did a search online with Google. Somehow I m not surprised to find that the NeatSheet has its own website![:D]

labontefanI have never heard of them.  It sounds like a good product.

I hadn t thought of doing that - great idea. I keep one in the back of our Durango too, rolled up and ready for impromptu picnics and beach days (along with the bug spray and sunscreen), and to protect the back seat from wet bathing suits and ice cream drips. I also take one along on the cargo rack on my bike when we meet friends at the park. I have washed them too (line dry) - they come out pretty well. Great product.

labontefanI had a plastic/vinyl cargo cover in the back of my Jeep. However, the Durango has two storage hatches in the back, and I didn t want to cover them up and make access difficult. I kind of had protecting the cargo area in mind when I bought the thing, but it s so compact, it just seemed like a handy thing to have around. I may get a couple more to keep in the vehicle and the camper.

labontefanI am a vendor, and one of the companies that hires my company is Kimberly-Clark so a few weeks ago I was running around to all the area Wally Worlds making sure all the NeatSheets had tags, and putting up little signs with a small display sheet that customers could feel to see what it felt like.
The Wal-Mart employees said it was actually out last year, but it wasn t heavily advertised so they didn t sell well.  After seeing most of them with no tags, I m kind of thinking the Wal-Mart employees had something to do with their not selling last year.
I bought one for myself, and it is a great product, especially for us campers - I m also looking forward to using it while watching fireworks on July 4th.
For anyone looking for them, the large size can be located in the lawn/garden section in Wal-Marts, and the small size will either be in paper towel section or the seasonal section.  Some stores also have a display in the infants section.

labontefanI got one last year at WalMart.  It works great for camping.  Used it when the picnic bench seats were wet.  Used it as a tarp to cover the picnic table when it rained.  Used it outside the camper to block the brightest light at the  campground that was lighting up the whole camper at night.  Many uses.  Great product.[8D][8D][8D]

labontefanI bought 3 of them at the Food Lion in West Ocean City Md. last week.  They were $3.99 each.  Less than half the normal price.

labontefanI can now vouch for this product!  I had a cooler tip over in the back of the Jeep and all the water seeped out of it onto the Neat Sheet.

I stopped the car in a panic and couldn t believe what I saw.  NONE and I do mean NONE of the water had seeped through.  It had all beeded up ontop of the Neat Sheet.  I pulled the sheet out and the water simply ran off.  I put the sheet back in the Jeep, set the cooler back on it, and was set to go.

Incredible product.  Many uses.  Cheap.  A must have!!!

Must be a nationwide Food Lion special. I went grocery shopping Sunday, and our local Food Lion also had them for $3.99 each (with your card), so I bought two more.
