I purchased an Eureka Hot Shot steam cleaner and for the life of me I cannot see that it does any good.  Here is a link to it: http://www.eureka.com/whatsnew/steamer.htm

I thought it would be great to clean the charcoal grill, car & trailer wheels, pop up's stove, even the porti-poti.  From the adds of simular products on TV and the claims made by this product, I never saw results anywhere close.

Does anyone else have one & did yours work better for you?

There's a lot of these things on the market and almost all are trash. The idea of cleaning by steam is a great one. I can think of multitudes of things I could use one to clean. But, they have two problems. First, the only pressure they have comes from the steam itself (which isn't very much). It rather dribbles out the end of the nozzle. The second is they tend to burn themselves up quickly.

There are places selling the more popular tv ones which have consumer ratings (all low) & reports (all bad) on them. Aside from very expensive, professional grade steamers, I haven't yet seen one I'd buy!
