We're looking at new Rockwood pop-up's in a couple of weeks at a "RV Direct" dealer in Albany, NY and was wondering if anybody has any comments on Rockwood pop-up's or the RV Direct method of purchasing a camper. We're first time RV buyers and looking for any helpfull information. Thanks for the help.

The general forum will get you more exposure than products review will.

Do you live near the dealership?  Have you looked at the Rockwood PUs already.  The RV direct method is fine, although if you don't live near them, you might have some problems getting your trailer serviced.  Many dealers will give priority to people that have purchased trailers from them.  As long as you know what trailer you want and you have some place to get it serviced you should do fine buying from them.  Is your vehicle set up to tow?  If not do you plan on having them do it or are you going to get it done before hand?  A friend of mine purchased a trailer out of state and had a very good experience, except Indiana and NY both got sales taxes from him.  Is there a particular model you are looking for?  Good luck and happy camping.:)
