Hi All,

We own a Coleman pop-up,but now considering a self contained. With price of fuel the way it is and the convenience of towing a pop-up,we thought maybe a HiLO would be one to consider. If anyone owns or has any info on these trailers would appreciate pro and cons. Thanks

In this category you might want to look at Hi-Lo and Trail Manor, both are excellent products.  Hi-Lo (www.hilotrailer.com) has a nice auto-lift system that makes set-up a breeze.  However, the TrailManor (www.trailmanor.com) system is extremely easy to use and very quick once you get to your camp site.

Both units tow easily and certainly help with gas mileage.

Good luck with your search.

We had a HiLo for 3 seasons and had no complaints - eventually we outgrew it though.  Towed it with a Honda minivan and managed to get 16 mpg when going flat on the freeway!
Now I am lucky to get 9 down hill with a tail wind! :yikes:

One thing to consider when comparing HiLo versus Trailmanor - You can get into a HiLo while it is down but you must open theTrailmanor.  HiLo is pushbutton to raise and Trailmanor is simple but is a two person operation to pull it open I beleive.

By now, have you bought a Hi-Lo and what is your opinion of it?

We looked at a Trail Manor two years ago, and the salesperson had my wife open it alone. They open very easily!
