Shaker Villages

My DW would love to spend some serious time perusing the Shaker Villages in KY. I think the citys are Berea, Pleseant hill,and (I think) South Union. We will be going during the week (avoiding the weekend rush) sometime in August and looking for a campground that might be convienient to at least 2 of the villages. I will have the dog with us and the pup needs electric with water being a nice to have but not absolutly necessary. Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.
