Today i was at WalMart and i found the Battery operated fan, that also has a 120 power adapter for $7.00. It's usually $13.47. I didn't buy any myself because i have 2 in the camper already. I just thought i would pass this on.......Ed

 Ed,
Im surprised they still have fans. Our store has been out for weeks while it's still 95 degrees outside and they are getting in their heaters and firewood.

These 10" "O2Cool" fans are the bomb.  I bought one before our maiden voyage to the Grand Canyon.  It was a life saver.  They go hours and hours on a set of D-cells.  Still haven't run ours down.

Your right, they are the bomb, i bought 2 so i would have a back up in case they were cheap and fell apart, but it keeps on going with no problems. They haven't put out the heaters yet, probably because it's still in the 100's here!!!

I have 2 O2 fans. 2 different designs. One is counter balanced to stand and the other actually has a fold out stand, that also houses the batteries. They are both good. The counter balanced takes less room but can be knocked over when pushed pretty good. Neither is really better than the other, just different. I believe I paid $20 for the stand enabled fan at Walgreens and $13 for the counter balanced fan at Walmart.

Both are excellent and use them frequently in the house or outside in the camper when AC isn't available.

Now they offer a rechargeable version but I found rechargeable batteries pretty much useless. Their shelf life is very short, but if used constantly, they can save you money. I just find that when I need my camera, shaver, car compressor, that they're always dead because of their short shelf life.

Have a good one.

Someone here comment that they'd spent up on the version that has the 3 way power feature with built in rechargeables. They didn't like it because the rechargeables didn't last very long.

I saw that version with the fold out base and almost bought it until I stumbled across the "counter-balanced" version at Walmart. Glad I got the Walmart one because it takes up less space sitting on the counter.

I tried the little 5" diameter verion that has the white foam blades and it was junk.  It was so noisey we couldn't stand to have it running, so I returned it.

There's a 5" version with tapered plastic blades, and that's probably normal sounding.  I might grab a pair of those as bunk-end fans.

Just bought one this weekend at the Lancaster, SC Wallyworld for $5.50 in the home section. What a score! Works great. This is the counterbalanced 10" 2 way O2 Cool fan.
