Not a phenominal price - but a good one.

I have a memory foam bed for my regular bed at home, and I love it.  I have had back problems all my life, and am a large 'curvy' person.  Sleeping in the PUP, which has older, 3" foam, plus a 2" or 3" layer of foam the previous owners added, is doable - but it makes me toss and turn more and leaves me with a slightly achy back and hips - especially if I sleep on my side - which I almost have to - as the PUP bed is only a slim 48", 'double' size.

We plan to build an extension of the rear bed  INTO the camper box, to make it a Queen - The idea being that we can use the extra foam the previous owners added, and get a topper to cover the 'seams' made by the extension.

So I've been shopping for a deal on a queen memory foam topper for the PUP.

This one at Target is on sale now - don't know for how long, but I got it yesterday (Oct 10) .  It is the 'better' quality memory foam - and comes with a velour cover that can come off and be washed.  (To me, this means it will be easier to take off the bed and store on the dinette or floor for travel, along with the bed extension piece we'll build)  It will also save me the cost of fabric & time to make a cover.

My Chiropractor, who is also a friend of mine, knew I was looking for one,and picked up a Full size topper for me ( before I found the Target one) at ALDI in her town - she said they had just marked them down to $12.49 - it's definately NOT thick, I haven't opened it yet - I think from the cover photo, it's got a 'wavey' top and is about 1/2 or 3/4 " thick.  But for $13?  it will be good for the other bed, or to layer with the one I have.

However, you may have to ask for the lower price - as the ALDI store in my town does NOT have them marked down - they have the same ones, but they are priced at the original $24.99.  I believe they only came in Twin and Full - no queens or kings.

I have the 1-1/2" Memory Foam (got it at Wal-mart), and it has been very comfortable on the PUP bunk.  While I would have loved a thicker one, it would have prohibited closure of the roof and I would not have wanted to wrestle with the foam to move it off the bunkend.

I've also got the Sunbeam heated mattress pads and they are nice during cooler weather and great for the aching back!
