I just finished repairing a tear in my camper's canvas with the patch repair kit featured in the PUT store. http://www.popuptimes.com/miva/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=P&Product_Code=6c-patch&Category_Code=RV
The tear was in a very bad location; at a corner where the canvas pulls over the bed frame.  I have pictures of the before & after repair at http://community.webshots.com/user/kaaljonesfamily .

I am amazed how well this patch system worked.  With the tear being at a corner, I was afraid that it would not hold.  I followed the instructions with one small modification; I held the reinforcement filament (heavy fishing line) in place with small strips of masking tape.  This also helped hold the edges of the tear together as I applied the patch.  I also used the remaining patch material to also reinforce the inside of the corner.

The patch material is amazing.  It has an elastic nature, so it stretches with the fabric.  The adhesive is VERY strong without being messy.

I HIGHLY recommed this product!!!! I just bought another pack to keep in the camper for emergencies.

Thanks for the feed back on the patch kit.  I guess I should get one to keep on hand. :)

If you ever need it, you will really like it.  At first, I was afraid to pay $12+ dollars for it, but after using it, it is well worth it.  I really was afraid that I may be looking at a major failure with my canvas; the tear was in an area of such high tension.

I will update my review as the camping season goes along to see how it holds up.

I have a tear in the same place as yours.  It happened a couple of years ago in high winds.  I sewed mine together with heavy duty thread using an x stitch.  So far it has held, but I like the looks of this much better.  Guess I will have to order some of this stuff too for "just in case".  Thanks for the review.
