A few years back, we bought a Coleman Camp Coffeemaker, when they first came out. We like it, a little slow, but great coffee! Last weekend we were surprised during the night by a rainstorm and the next morning I found out that I had forgotten to put the box for the coffeemaker under cover, so it was pretty much toast, or maybe mush is the proper description!
Anyway, I started looking for something to pack the coffeemaker in and on Monday night, found out that Coleman makes a padded carrying case for it for $9.99! Cheap enough, I ordered it on line and checked the box to have it ship UPS second day so I could have it for the weekend trip starting tomorrow. I got word Tuesday that it shipped, but the message said it shipped USPS Priority. So I thought I wouldn't have it for the weekend, oh well, then I remembered shipping 2nd day was like $15.00!!! So I emailed Coleman, and after giving them the order number they emailed back that it DID in fact ship USPS by mistake and would credit my credit card for the shipping. Very nice, very efficient AND it arrived at our post office today- 2 days after shipping!!!
Sorry for the long story, but since I tend to complain when these things DON'T work out, I like to try to balance it out and speak highly of a company when they do!

We had a really good experience with coleman.com too. Last year we bought a new screen room. The first time we used it one of the shock corded poles for it broke...actually, just the shock cording on the inside of the pole broke....you could still use the pole...just didn't have the insides.   I wrote to them and told them about it and within just a couple of days there was a brand new pole at my door.  They were great.

Told the DW a Road grill LXE might be nice for fathers day.  She typed in road grill on Coleman.com and several Road grills came up but not the LXE.  An LX did come up so she bought it.  They did have an LXE on the web site that only came up if the "LXE" was added.

Turns out the LX is out of production; has smaller wheels; and is an inferior product to the LXE (I have to admit it is a good grill) and was only $1 less than the LXE ($186 vs. $187) on Coleman.com.  I understand the LX is not being shipped to dealer but only to those of us they can dupe (buyer beware)

I emailed Coleman expressing the above and to see if they would help me on the shipping (would be a total of $115) and got this back:

Jim, your complaint is filed and you can return it to us and have it replaced with the LXE. You will have to pay for the freight since you are the one that ordered it. We will be happy to replace it with the one you want.

Thank you,

Colleen

A few years ago I took a drive up to a coleman outlet in Lancaster PA (about 3 hrs) and picked up a Coleman Extreem cooking table with a stove rack ($60). Once I got it home I noticed the top was dented. I called the outlet. They would be happy to replace it if I either drove back up or paid shipping. Not happy with those options I called Coleman and was told although they didn't have my model they did have the newer Exponent ($200) and would ship it out and not to bother sending back the other table. Now thats service! :D
