Ab Diver17 days to go!  Man, there was a LOT of RV s heading backs from the coast yesterday. It was a " low tide"  weekend, a big draw for divers. I could still see a lot of rockpickers out there this morning.

Hehehehe... " Our"  weekend has a negligible low tide. That means no special draw for divers. And *that s* the reason we can get all these sites together. Gunna be fun!

QuoteBtw, do you have your PUT clock set on " -3"  in your profile? It will set your PUT time on west coast time instead of Virginia time. It has made day 18 seem so slow, lol.

Also, forgive me for commenting on your font size. I for one like your font size. Looks good on you!
 See you soon!

Ever the diplomate.  You are too funny!
Re; PUT time:  I have set it several times.  Will do so again.  Thanks for the heads up

Lon will be jazzed!  We are having the same low tides in SC and when we run  the dog in the morning we can find sea stars, sponges, and all sorts of things we don t normally see.

Ab Diver16 non-towing days to go!  My nephew once ate 16 marshmallows and groaned all night.  (Thankfully he was in his family s hardside, ha)

Ab Diver

Ab Diver16 days to go! Hey, anybody like steamed mussels? There s an area nearby that is covered with mussels. We used to stop there and get a whole 5-gallon bucket of these bivalves. Steam them in some water, garlic, and little white wine maybe, and dip them in melted butter. The little ones (~2-3"  long) are more tender than the large ones (6-7"  long). I ll ask a game warden today if they expect a quarantine to be in place. If not, I ll bring our big Camp Chef stove and a large steaming pot. We ll hijack a milk truck so we have enough butter, but somebody else will have to establish a treaty with France to ensure we have enough French bread.[;)]

Just thought I d get some discussion of foodstuffs going.

Just turn on Nickelodeon.  You can also see (or " sea" ) a greedy crab, whining anchovies, power hungry plankton, and a conceited octopus to name some other strange beings.

 (rim shot please)

Ab DiverJeff-- too funny!  Great minds, eh?  That s what I get for walking away from the keyboard for a couple minutes.  (good thing we both said the same number of days.[;)] )

 Ab DiverWHY WE DRINK:

In one episode of  Cheers , Cliff is seated at the
bar describing the Buffalo Theory to his buddy, Norm.
(I don t think I ve ever heard the concept explained
 any better than this...)

" Well, you see, Norm, it s like this... A herd of
buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo.
And when the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and
weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This
natural selection is good for the herd as a whole,
because the general speed and health of the whole
group keeps improving by the regular killing of the
 weakest member.

In much the same way, the human brain can only
operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Now, as we
know, excessive intake of alcohol kills brain cells.
But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest
brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of
beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain
a faster and more efficient machine.

And that, Norm, that is why you always feel smarter
 after a few beers."

Classic Cliffy. Best sitcom of my lifetime. Nothing has ever really compared.

I don t drink beer, but I can attest to the fact that I do feel smarter after a couple of glasses of wine!  I just never knew why.  Thanks Ray for the enlightenment!
