Jo AnnWe actually use one inside the house in the Florida room on top of vinyl flooring.  Dirt falls right through it and easily sweeps up.  When the dogs come in wet and muddy that is where they go to dry off.  Every once in a while I fold it up and take it outside to hose off then hang it over the closeline to dry.

Yea my sister who has a huge  4 level deck deck saw what i was ordering and is now considering one for her upperdeck which i think is a great idea. she is going to see how mine holds up first , I have yet to metion the purchase to my husband as he is always in the frame of mind of "  we don t need  it until i acually buy it and then he is always grateful. Its funny last year i bought all new clothes for us for the trip to palm springs California we took  ( On a plane!) and i was thrilled looking forward to the new clothes this year i am looking forward to a mat!!  Jo AnnOne word of caution...if you have to roll it up and pack it while it is wet, put it in a large trashbag! (Probably 2 large trashbags, since it won t quite fit in one.)

It tends to hold water (Maybe because it s made of little hollow tubes/straws.) which will pour out when it s folded up.

We put ours in trash bags when we left Charlotte--mostly because it was muddy. However, when we got home and took it out, a good bit of water poured out of the trash bags! After I hosed it down to clean it, I folded it and rolled it up to move to another location to let it dry. As soon as I stood the roll on end so I could pick it up, the water poured out of it!

But I spread it out in the yard and it dried really quickly.

Jo AnnYeah, we put it away wet the first time we used it after one of our MANY rainy weekends.  For some reason, I thought enough to put it in the shower, not because I thought about the water leaking out, but because that is where we had room for it.  After I got home, I realized how lucky I was!  [;)]

We hung it on the fence and it was dry in about 30-45 minutes.  [:D]  The last trip, I worked out a way to have it up and on the picnic table dying out before I put it away.

WHEN is this rain going to end???  MAYBE this heat wave will do it!

Jo AnnAnyone that buys one won t regret it.  We ve got about 30-40 days on it now and it still looks great.

Jo AnnWe had rain at Harper s Ferry, and was really muddy. mine came from Camping world, but it is the SAME mat. I hosed it off and leaned it up agains the picnic table (loosely folded) for about a half hour as I organized the stuff in the camper and hitched up. Mine travels on the big dinette, I just laid a vinyl table cloth down and put the folded mat on the table cloth. Most of the water was out of it by that time.
