Kevin,
I am looking forward to that!
We'll sit under your huge awning and have a drink and watch everyone arrive.

We are off for a quick one-nighter tomorrow.  We are ready for a campfire and some fresh air.

Can't wait either. We're thinking about having dinner on Sunday at the Union Hotel in Occidental. Does anyone know if they are even open on Sundays?

Red neff Barchetta

Dave/Champ -
I just called and yes, they are open on Sundays.  11:00 am to 9:00 pm.
Great family restaurant!  We go there twice a year at least.
It is 10 miles (20 mins.) from Duncans Mills.
Union Hotel & Restaurant
3703 Main St.
Occidental, CA
Restaurant - (707) 874-3555
Pizza & Pasta - (707) 874-3444
I don't know why there are 2 numbers.  It is all one restaurant, but there you go.

You can get semi-fancy food or relaxed pizza or pasta.  The place has a fun atmosphere.

Btw, if semi-fancy is what you had in mind then right in Duncans Mills (stumbling distance from Casini Ranch) is one of our absolute favorite places called the Blue Heron Restaurant.  You will drive right past it all w/e.  A bit pricy though.  We go about once a year.  We have taken our youngest before, so it's not too fancy-schmancy.

Jeff,
Have you ever tried Negree's in Occidental?

Quote from: SurfcalP.S.  Yes, regarding Survivor, Ca Girl and I are smart, have self-eliminated ourselves because of inherent conflict of interest.  Plus, we are also ponying up the prizes, those nice stainless steel NNC mugs.  We're like buying our way out of trouble or humility.

Hey Surf and Girl,
I found some quotes you guys need to reherse for the Survivor game

"Previously, on Survivor."
"Come on in guys!"
"Morgan, getting your first look at the new Drake tribe, minus Scott."
"Wanna know what you're playing for?"
"Drake, you're sittin' someone out, who's it gonna be?"
"Survivors ready? GO!"
"Drake! Wins reward."
"Immunity. Back up for grabs."
"Morgan! Wins Immunity!"
"You have a date with me at Tribal Council tonight."
"Fire represents your life in this game. When it's gone, so are you."
"Are you loaded?"
"It IS time to vote."
"I'll go tally the votes."
"Once the votes are read, the desicion is final. The person voted out will be asked to leave the Tribal Council area immediately. I'll read the votes."
"That's 2 votes Scott, 2 votes Larry."
"And the 6th person voted out of the Casini Ranch is..."
"With 3 votes, that's enough. The last vote will remain a mystery."
"Dave, you need to bring me your torch."
"The tribe has spoken, it's time for you to go."
"Grab your torches, head back to camp."
"Stay tuned for scenes from our next episode."
"Next time, on Survivor."

Kevin/6Quigs,

VERY GOOD! I can tell your watch it also. I make Sal watch it with me. At first it was under protest because he hates "those dumb shows", but now, he remembers to switch the channel before I do (Sal likes Big Brother better). We will see what happens tonight. Can't wait!!! Happy Viewing.

Surfcal

CA Girl tells me that she has received the stainless steel mugs from the NNC store that CA-Girl and I funded (just so we could be exempt from the games) and will be ready for distribution for the First NNC Survivor Games.  Remember, the games are:

1.  The NNC Scavenger Hunt
2.  The NNC Survivor Smoothie Bar
3.  The NNC Water Boiling Contest

Anyone over 16 is eligible.  So watch out, you just might be tapped.

This will be real fun.  Hey, how about some V8 blended with some raw oysters...yummmmm......

Now we can add.....

"Per your wishes......go home"

Osten...what a whiney baby.

Kevin/6Quigs,

You forgot one improtant statement:  "here are your buffs".
Now you know we can't forget those.

I'm sure you (and many others) saw the show last night, you should have heard the words yelled to the Television when they didn't let us know which Outcasts would get to go back.  Sal was not pleased.  :p

Definately an interesting twist!

Neff-Thanks for all the info. I have been to the U. H. one time before but that was about 12 years ago.

Nick-Negree's sounds familiar, too. Have they been around for awhile?

I was kinda hopin that the Survivor Games disappeared with the old website. :p  I will most certainly have to be busy during that casting call.

Well my mom remebers going when she was a kid and she is in her 60's now.  She said it actually used to be in the Union Hotel many years ago.
