Quote from: SurfcalLast night, the Sacramento contingent, informally known as the Drunk Squad got together for a Dinner Rally. We went to Joe's Crab Shack and the wait was 3 hours, so we bailed and went to a Chinese Restaurant instead. After that, we all went to Ralph and Madlyn's house to play poker.
Yes...a great time was had by all.  Or at least a great time was had by ME! :D  Although I still have my mouth all set for crab, so we'll have to plan a mid-week Crab Shack Rally so that we can have a better chance of actually EATING there!

Just a couple of side-notes,
Drunk Squad: I did NOT have a ticket after our "15 minute" visit to Joe's.
Holly: Thanks for driving!
Madlyn & Ralph: Thanks for the hospitality....playing cards was so much more fun once we were playing for the BIG bucks!

You must be relieved to hear that the guard in AZ was released today.
Thanks again for doing what you do!!   :)

Hi Gang,
We made it home with the new Toy Box.  A lot longer and a bit heavier, but really cool!!   Got an Equal-i-zer and what a difference, DH said it was great.  I just think it's great I don't have to drive the darn thing.

Starting to get all set up, this one has less storage space but other benefits.  We are getting all ready for a trial run next weekend.

Terry the Popout found a new home yesterday afternoon, yipee!!!  He will be leaving us some time during the week.

Sounds like the "unpopup" pop out for dinner rally was fun.

Hello Rojana, my campfire buddette:

Congratulations on the sale of your popout.  It was cool to inquire about your popout and feel like I was in the market even for a short moment.

For now, I am remaining in the one-sided popup!

Enjoy your Toy Hauler quite a bit.  Make sure you configure that space in the back for our NNC Casino & Bar.  Yes, poker games are in the works.

I heard it has a very nice dance floor in the rear!

Hey Robucko:

I know you watch us once in a while.  Post something and let us know how you're doing and what you're up to.

Maybe sometime this year you can join us.  I took your advice and bought a Jack London book and a John Steinbeck.  Now if I can only buy some time to read them.

Namaste,
Surfcal

Neff/Jeff,
Where are you?????

Well, the dancing can go on after the kids are done racing up the ramp ala Neff's idea for ramp jumping to the front bunk!

But oh yes with the seats up in the back there is plenty of room to party!

Hey what's this rumor mill about me upgrading!  Oh wait we are! :)

Jeff if you are interested let me know I'd cut you a heck of a deal.

I'm off to bed, new proposal for funding is done... finally!

Steve/Y-Guy -
Yes it's true that I have started a bit of research into Hybrid's, but if we do make the move it will be in a few years still.
I (& we) truly enjoy the PU and are fortunate that we chose the right one for us the first time.  I even enjoy the few extra tasks associated with a PU over a Hybrid.
But, I never say never so I have done just a bit of my Hybrid homework so I'm not totally blind if we were to make the plunge.
I would buy your Kiwi in an instant (!), but not at this time.
That Outback looks like the perfect answer for your needs.  I like the parents bed in the back as well.  Enjoy!!   :)   I know you won't have any trouble selling the Jayco.

Amy & I even see ourselves moving to a Chalet or A-Liner possibly once the kids are off doing their thing out in (out-in?) the world and it's down to just the 2 of us.  That is if we can stand one another once the house quiets down and we are forced to spend all of our time together, lol.   :D

Well, I had a real 3-Stooges morning;
2 of the guys were at a job (winery in Healdsburg) this morning parked near the tasting room where they were working.  A concrete truck parked in front of the work van somehow started to roll - right into the van!     Then the pour chute for the concrete swung around and dumped about a yard of wet cement into the driver's window of the van, lol!   :(   Don't worry, I got plenty of pictures.
Also looks like I'm going to get a new van out of the fiasco.  Luckily it was our oldest van so this could work to my benefit when all is settled.
Sure messed up my morning though.  All I can do is laugh though since it wasn't our fault.
Crazy!   :D

Also found out we lost my SIL, BIL, 3 nieces, and 1 nephew.   :(

To the extreme darkside!   :D   They bought a mega-bus.  It's a monster!  They even tried to suck us in by selling us their 5'er, but not to worry, we resisted.
They just don't understand how much we enjoy the PU.
We should be a funny sight with the bus and the PU parked side by side during the 5 trips we are taking together this summer.  Although how they think they'll get that monster to French Meadows reservoir or Lake Davis is beyond me.  I'll be sure to be in front in case they get stuck on the dirt roads into the cg's.  Lake Davis doesn't even have water at the cg (but it has poison and floating fish in the lake, ha)!  But that's another story for another time.  Besides, I think I've got that figured out (- I sure hope so as it's a 5 night trip!     )

Anyway, be sure to give them the business as they'll be at the Yosemite rally.
Oh who am I kidding!  By then you'll probably find me plopped down in front of their big screen plasma tv with a cocktail.
