somewhere in this forum I read where people use those reflective survival blankets under the bunk end matresses.  I don't mean the popup gizmos that go over the canvas, I'm already sold on those.  Do the blankets make a difference when placed underneath, how much can I expect to pay for these and is there anywhere local I might look for them with any luck?  Thanks for your help.

Take a look at these survival blankets
and they work the same as gizmos.

Is it the same thing and do you use them for your popup camper?
Gizmos say they have coleman sizes in stock.  Will these FIT equally as well?  I mean these look great and the price does too but I don't want something that I have to "mickeymouse" around with to get it to work.

the ad gives the measurements so you can compare them; however, I believe I've read that staining can occur...

I have used all three types of reflective blankets:
  • Emergency Blankets: These are very thin, not sized properly and some brands tend to allow the silver to rub off on your roof.  On the positive side, they do reflect the heat and keep the interior cool
  • Cabellas Sportsmens Blankets: These are much more sturdy and will last a long time.  But, again they are not sized properly so they do not cover the entire roof (or you have to purchase two and sew them together or put two on the roof).  On the positive side, they do reflect the heat and keep the interior cool
  • Gizmos: These are sized exactly for the bunk ends of your specific make/model pop up.  Granted they are more expensie, but I feel they are worth it.
