NC CGs--DH and 2 DS went camping last month at Timberlake in Whittier, NC (in the Smokies.) They said that Timberlake was really cool, more like a park than a campground. This is hard to find in not-SP campgrounds. The owner, Betty Brown, is really sweet and the fee is only $25. per night for 3 campers. I'm heading there next week with my 2 DDs. There's a swimming hole, fishing and a creek for wading. Only problem--laundry facilities are outrageously priced.

Thank you for giving a nice review.  It sounds like the type of place I would like to camp at.  How expensive was the laundry???
