New record here in Maryland at 28.2 inchs. I am still digging out. Camping in April looks so far away, or too close for the melt.[:@]
whitestar505YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS, I cleaned all 13 inches of snow and ice off my deck today. I even put my lawn furniture out. I am telling old man Winter I am done PERIOD.
whitestar505Gee. We don t have that problem here....[8D]
This may sound odd, but I really hope you guys have a SLLOOOOOWWWW thaw. I say that because of the potential for flooding if it melts fast.

I don t care slow how it melts, it still cant be absorbed by frozen ground. It s going to run off somewhere.
And to answer the original question, yes I am tired of it.[&:]
whitestar505Nope, we love the snow and all the activities that take place outdoors in it.
For us, there s no use in complaining- Mother Nature always does what she pleases anyway- so we make the best of it![:D]
whitestar505I like the snow at first, but this is getting ridiculous! It has snowed almost every day for a month! I can t even get to the PU to clean it off, right now - there is about 3 feet of snow around it...
I REALLY want Spring to get here!!! It was 37 degrees today, and it felt like it was about 70. That s pretty sad...

whitestar505yes i msick of it![:@]

While this may be true, a slow thaw will still be less likely to cause flooding problems. I know alot of people have already started talking about sand bags and stuff to help.
bikoleeIs this a trick question????
Remember me.... I m up here in the " Great White North" !
whitestar505I am ready to camp. I am tired of getting up an hour early to drive to work just in case. Spring you are welcome any time now. I might just go shoot that groundhog.[:D]
whitestar505A down year for snow in the Chicago area. I do miss it and so do the kids. Just because we didn t get much snow this year does not mean spring will come any quicker. It will just be less muddy[;)]
whitestar505We ll take all the snow the east can or can t handle. Real bad drought conditions here in Montana. You Easterners are getting what we normally get! It s been pitiful the last few years.
whitestar505I like the snow and we are getting lots this week. You folks just need to invest in a snowblower. It s a great grown-up toy[;)]. Now the cold -20 tonight...that I don t care for!
whitestar505Snow?..What snow? Did I miss something? It s all brown and icky outside.

I LOST. OLD MAN WINTER CAME BACK. [:@] Lawn furniture is covered in the snow. Expecting 6+ today and tonight. Schools canceled again Wednesday and Thursday and maybe Friday. Looks like we are going to school on even more Saturdays now.
whitestar505I don t think I d be as tired of it if DH wouldn t keep coming down with some kind of bug or another every time it s time to shovel[;)] And it is pretty cool that the kids and I can walk across the top with out sinking. I really just want it to stop so we don t have to make up any more snow days - I hate to see the kids lose anymore vacation time.
whitestar505This is getting really old, really quick! We had yet another snow day today and we got MAYBE an inch of snow. We re using us spring break days as make up days. Oh well, we have " paid for" reservations, as DD says, in Key Largo for spring break and we re going! I work for the local school district and will have to take the time (any make up days that the kids are in school when it should be spring break) off unpaid. Oh well.
Hey cam -- our neighbor must feel like you do about a snow blower being a big kids toy. He was out using it today with an inch of new snow on the ground but hey, if it made him happy.....
Does any one know of any obscure law about snow days? People at school have been talking about some law that says if we miss 10 or more days of school, those over the alloted number of makeup days don t have to be made up? I don t know how to explain it better but in reading this over, it doesn t seem to make sense? Maybe I ve been in the house too long? Only kidding, we had a great snow day at home, and Walmart, and Kroger........
Anyway, spring can t come too soon for us!
Tena
whitestar505We don t have as much snow as some of the rest of you have, but we ve had our share of really cold temps. I ve had about all I can stand, I can t stands no more!!![:@] The cold really messes with my old joints and such like, and I hurt almost all the time. [:(] I would really love to see a day over 30 degrees. Today was partly sunny, and that does help, if only to make it look warm if you re inside looking out.

whitestar505We have not had enough snow but I sure would like several warm 30 degree days in a row and a few more nights where the temperature stays above 10.
" To everything there is a season..."
whitestar505[font=" Comic Sans MS" ]What a winter we ve had!
I couldn t believe that some sadistic vendor sent me an offer for a free (with purchase) selection of snow scenes for my work pc yesterday! I ll never buy a thing from them . . . EVER!!!! I don t think that was the effect they were going for.
But I think the absolute worst was when we had to go out and shovel RAIN last weekend to keep the sump pump from burning out. The snowdrifts wouldn t allow the run off to run anywhere!
In SE PA we re awaiting another 10 or so inches of nature s beauty tonight and I m trying not to think about it at all. Instead, I m thinking about buying a screen room and planning menus for our first trip of the season, scheduled for April 12. That s the weekend of my birthday!!!! [:)]
Winter? This too shall pass.
Warmly,
Christyn

whitestar505I drove by a facility today where they had sprayed blue food coloring on snow bank. It took me a minute to figure out what was up. When clearing the parking lot the snow plows created snow banks so tall that they obstructed the view of the handicapped parking sspaces. So they dyed the snow bank blue to remind everyone that teh spots were for the handicapped. That s too much snow for me!

whitestar505" Tired of S--- Yet?" ,
Not me. I enjoy looking out the window at it coming down, knowing that in a few hours I ll need to shovel the stinking 3 foot high piles from around my van so I can drive at 1 mph down the side street, on the sheet of ice its become, unable to stop at the corner & watching the oncoming cars go in all directions trying to avoid me, just to pickup the stinking loaf of bread that SHE forgot to get last night BEFORE the s-word started coming down in freezing sheets. Maybe just one more cup of coffee and I ll be able to relax.........
RamblingWreckNo, the coffee didn t help. Will this stuff ever stop coming down? [>:]
RamblingWreckUmmm, New house, smaller drive way who cares [;)][;)][;)]
