Title: Blocking posts
Post by: topcat7736 on Sep 28, 2003, 07:05 PM
I just found a neat feature of this new forum. If say, you re tired of seeing moderator1 s posts, there s a little green ball next to his name. If you click on it, the person will be placed on your own, personal block list and all his/her posts will disappear! If you decide, at a later time, to unblock the person, all you need to do is click on the now red ball next to the name or unblock it in your profile area.

 Here you are...oops, you re not here...you are here....you aren t here....you

Geez, I love this board!  LOL [:o][;)][:(]

topcat7736May I humbly suggest that you do NOT block the moderators ???

I can imagine moderators trying to talk to you and you happily chatting away, and all of a sudden you are gone [8D][8D][8D][8D][8D][8D][8D][8D]

 topcat7736Bearbait,

Why do you need some " meat"  to sink your teeth in ?

If I get a reply, that means he did not block me yet. 5 bucks says he did.[&:]

topcat7736Ah, Al--you have just made my life much sweeter!  And this wonderful feature of the new board  puts me in mind of a great song from Gilbert and Sullivan s opera " The Mikado"

It s called   " Theyll None of Them  Be Missed"   and here are a few lines:

" As some day it may happen that a victim must be found,
I ve got a little list--I ve got a little list
Of social offenders who might well be underground,
And who never would be missed--who never would be missed!...

...And  St-- st-- st--and What s-his-name, and also--You-know-who--
(The task of filling up the blanks I d rather leave to you!)
But it really doesn t matter whom you put upon the list,
For they d none of  em be missed--they d none of  em be missed."

Gotta go now and work on my little list  [:)][8D][;)]  (And, no, birol, YOU are not on it!)[:)]

Isnt it a shame there isnt something like this for real life occasions?

topcat7736I m here to tell you that I won t block anyone.  I will choose to ignore replying to a person or post sometimes, but I don t mind looking at all of it.  I don t mind reading foolish non-camping posts and don t have a thin skin when people disagree with me.  I think it is entertaining to see (insert a person here) make a fool of themselves (me included), so I will continue to look at all the posts from all the 400 or 500 or whatever number of members here.  I ll continue to be entertained by everyone.    And by the way, I do mean everyone.

 Dang !!!!

I was hoping that you were going to block me and be done with it forever !!!!!

I have a sense of humor, I always had. After the accident, I became a lot more relaxed and have a huge sense of humor. So if I am entertaining people I am happy  [:D][:D][:D][:D]

What would I do without this board ? I would never learn all this stuff , No such thing as a free ride, every rose has a (darn, what is that sticky thing called, it is on the tip of mo tongue and I can t say it), thorn ?

So, how is this for blabbering for no purpose eh ?

topcat7736There s a button  made  specially for blockin.
A great gift for your Chrissamuss Stockin.
 Gets rid of bridge dwellers
 And those in dark cellara
And threads which are horribly shockin

Actually, despite the little fairy-tale poem above, I have gone through my little list and decided there is no one here who needs to be blocked as we have no trolls anymore[:)],  and anyone else is just expressing their  opinions as they wish and as they have a right to do. And like Stopher,  I dont mind if they want to give me a hard time. (As long as they dont threaten to kill my cat or dog or the loyal  members of my clicque, I can take most anything[:)]

Awww..thanks.  [:)]  You make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.  I also will never block anyone for the same reasons as others stated.  I may not agree with someone s opinions..but they have the right to say them.  Besides....I m usually the offender, not the offendee.  [;)]
