In the interest of sharing information, which Dave and the PUT gang has always been supportive of, I wanted to post a link to the temporary forum for Pop Up Explorer.
{Edited 3/4/03 to delete dead link}
My bookmark failed, so I backdoored my way in and found this post from Dean. Seems he s having provider troubles and had to go to plan B.
Hope this is copacetic, as we have many campers who like to visit several campfires.
BTW, I d love to hear from anyone over on the PUT General forum about where to carry my cargo...

perhaps you d like to clarify your post Bikolee. Tone can be so hard to discern from a flat computer screen, but I can tell you I personally took it to be a bit snippy.
That s fine, thats your choice. But I hope you would consider rereading my post and trying to see that I took great care in crafting my message. It s no secret that many members of this board also seek information elsewhere.
AS A SERVICE TO THEM, I thought it would be helpful to let them know how to reach the other board.
If you don t care that there are plenty of sources of information, and people who choose to seek a variety of opinions (and the company of a variety of personalities), then I would humbly like to suggest you not read posts with the sole intention of offering snippy replies.
This board talks a great game about being friendly, and supportive, and the minute I try to do something friendly, supportive, and I think clearly encouraged by the hosts of this board, i m met with a smarta$$ reply like yours.
Someone commented elsewhere about high-schoolish cliques and petty bickering. Well, when I spent my $30, I was hoping to find a wealth of CAMPING info.
Maybe its winter, and we re all frustrated and need to get outside, but perhaps we can all remember that other grade school mantra " If you don t have something constructive to say, don t say anything"
Now I m feeling bad for going on a rant, and I apologize. But I really was only trying to be nice with my original post.
got woody?Your link goes to a firewood poll.
got woody? At the time I made the original post, it linked to a message from the host of PUX explaining why people were having trouble accessing the site. I meant it only to help anyone else like me who may have been heading there Monday night to get some more camping info.
Thanks for the heads-up, I will edit my original post.
got woody? They are back up with the new forum on the old server. http://www.coastexplorer.com/popupexplorer/forum/default.asp?CAT_ID=1
got woody?Jim,
Thanks for letting those of us who hang out at BOTH campfires know what was going on. You did everyone in the pop-up camping cyber community a kindness, especially Dean who is going through some of the same issues that Dave and Steve have gone through with service providers.
Tonight is Fat Tuesday--a fact my waistline will acknowledge as true--so lets celebrate and be happy. Tomorrow we can give up snippiness for Lent!
got woody?I m glad you re here. However, I feel there s plenty of room for anybody who wants to run a message board because it gives the pop up camper a choice. I remember when there was only alt.rv-popup....
I can appreciate the growing pains that PUX is going thru.
Dave
