I have been up since 3 am this morning,sent son to Washington DC & Williamsburg with his squadron and have been getting ready to leave tomorrow morning after we do our morning newspapers.
I will report back to duty next week Friday. No body get too happy that I am gone [;)]

birolOkay folks, He s been and gone. Got the back end of the van filled with great stuff from Gone-Camping and me.[;)][:D][:D][:D]
He s headed back to Williamsburg to rest and do a little touring of the historic area tomorrow morning. Then back to the frozen North. Gone-Camping has the photos and will get them posted PDQ for all to see.
Let s see. One big tent, one Coleman lantern, one Coleman stove, 1 air mattresses w/12v air pump, one ground cloth, one tarp, two sets of pots and pans, 5 gallon water bottle, grill, tripod w/grill and two ground pads for sleeping bags from cavman.
Gone-Camping contributed two weber grills, 3 air mattresses and a dual action manual air pump.
Pictures will be posted for you viewing tonight.
Now he has to come to the rally in June to show off the " TENT" .

birolYou and your families should be so proud of yourselves. I know the feeling of seeing a mom and her sons enjoying what was our tent and some spare equipment made my dh and I feel so special. What was a storage problem to us became a source of enjoyment for them. We try to camp at least once a year with them and they still thank us contiuously for the gear. On her salary and raising two boys alone we opened to them a brand new world that they may never have known. Giving something to someone always make me feel all squishy inside. " Love isn t love till you give it away." can t remember who wrote it but know its part of the poem about loving someone or thing.

birolI have the firestarters that the Cub Scouts made for Birol. It is so nice of you to give him the equipment. I hope they have a great time and can come to the Rally in June. This is why this board is so great.
