Title: Reese adapter plate for under hitch ball
Post by: mike4947 on Sep 28, 2003, 07:05 PM
Can t remember where the post was that asked me about the adapter plate so you don t have to weld the front ball onto the hitch.
Here s the part numbers for the 2"  ball plate 26003, and the 1 1/4 ball plate 26005

mike4947They also make them for right or left side of the ball mount.  Make sure the plate you get will mount the ball on the proper side of the regular hitch ball.

Was probably me that asked about those.  Found them!  Thanks for looking them up for me. [:)]

mike4947I just installed a new hitch on the new (used) TV and purchased a 2"  adapter plate (used to have a class II hitch).  I was surprised to see that the adapter plate was about 1/16"  too narrow to fit over the receiver.  Ended up having to grind the adapter plate to widen it slightly.
