Well, in just a few short months, it will be camping time again and we usually kick off our camping time at spring break.
We are going (as we usually do) to St. Andrews State Park the end of March.
Where are you going? And when?
Anyone camping down my way?
SltrawickHello! We are planning to go to America Outdoors in Key Largo Florida for diving, camping and sea food. We were there last Spring Break and had a blast. It s a L-O-N-G drive from Va. but worth it.

SltrawickWe are heading down to Baja, Mexico, with a few friends. After all the snow we have gotten up here, we will be ready for the Beach[:)]
Sltrawick[:)] I am real excited. My family and I are going to the Texas Pop Up Rally in Inks Lake State Park!
I will finally get to put a face with the name!

SltrawickAt this time our camping plans are up in the air. I have surgury planned in the near future (date unknown yet) and it depends on recovery time.[:@]
SltrawickOur first trip is planned for Easter. If we have an early spring we may go to a SP for a weekend before that.[:)]
SltrawickWe never camp on holidays or major school breaks, other than the summer break, in general.
We re not out until early May this coming spring. Spring break will rpobably be spent on the slopes or hiking locally.
SltrawickEither the Sonoran,or Mojave, Deserts sound like desireable destinations to us.Much will depend on the ammount of time that we are able get off from work.
SltrawickWe are heading out on the 19th of Mar for 6 nights at Long Pine Key, FL then 2 nights at Stephen Forster State park FL.
SltrawickWe are going where we went for Christmas. Sam Houston Jones State Park, here in Moss Bluff La.
Great, quiet an peaceful place.
SltrawickMe, Jeffrey and the Bantam may head across the mountains over the river and through the road to Grandmother s area we go. Southern Indiana. Last year we parked at the North Louisville KOA. this is a good place to park, not camp.
We may try Ad-More campground this time, water is turned on April first, so there will be showers. Have not been there, but it is closer to my mother and son.
SltrawickI m not sure ifit s during spring break...but MAP-PUC is planing on coming out my way to Hillsdale Lake SP at the end of march.
SltrawickWe won t be going anywhere [:(] our first camping trip is scheduled until May 2nd
SltrawickWe re going to Tropical Palms. This is one of my favorite campgrounds and A great alternative to Fort Wilderness if you cant get reservations there.
SltrawickWe will be going to Bastrop SP, near Austin, Tx, for spring break in March. Love those lost pines!
SltrawickAs soon as the snow goes we will be camping again, we will be camping in upper New Jeresy (sussex county) for the first couple of weekends thats where we have our unit for the winter, we took a year round site for the convenience of being able to camp even more. (we have to store our TT anyway) we will travel after april when the other campgrounds start opening again.
SltrawickWe are thinking about taking the long trip down to the Fla keys during spring break. First trip already planned for the first weekend in March to either Edisto State Park or Hunting Island / both on the SC coast.
SltrawickWe are supposed to go to Blythe Island with a bunch of the Georgia Campers group. A lot will depend on whether I am back at work by then. We ll be pretty broke if it is that long without a paycheck! We are supposed to go to Indian Springs MLK weekend (couple of weeks), but that trip is weather forecast dependent!!!! I am ready to go now. [:)]
SltrawickLast spring break we went to Harper s ferry Koa in West Virgina. It was a great place for spring break. Being from the midwest my boys had not visited DC. We went to Getteyburg, the BO railroad,DC bus tours, Sharpsburg and the Harpers Ferry National Park. The weather was not the greatest but we spent most of the day indoors. Great week. I am still trying to pick a place to go this year. I think my wife has to work. With a Heat strip in the AC and a small Mr Buddy heater we were warm as toast.
SltrawickWe re pondering going back to the Florida Keys. We just camped the week after Christmas at the KOA on Sugarloaf Key (20 miles north of Key West) and loved it. We didn t take the PU and tented it in their tent area and absolutely loved it...... had a nice big spot back in the woods. I was kind of glad we didn t have the PU since they pack you in like sardines there. It was our first KOA experience and I have to say the amenities are quite nice..... pool, hot tub, store, restaurant, etc. Someday we MUST get a site at the Bahia Honda State Park by Big Pine Key..... the Sandspur sites are 20 feet from the ocean and I would be in heaven if we can get in there. As I understand it you need to make reservations 11 months in advance if you want to get in.
It is snowing and 24 degrees here in Southwest Michigan right now...... it was 82 in the keys a week ago when we were there!
SltrawickIf the weather s good we ll be set up in one of Ohio s State Parks, most likely John Bryan.
Cheyenne6We won t be going anywhere. There is sometimes at least six weeks of winter left after Wiarton Willey (a resident groundhog from southern Ontario who has the power to forecast the weather) either sees his shadow or not.
We have about three feet of snow on the ground right now up here in " The Great White North" and we are only 1/3rd the way through winter.[:o]
Maybe some of you folks down south can wrap up some of that warm weather, and mail it to us up here!
Having a f-f-f-frosty day!
SltrawickI m hoping that it is warm enough to get the PU out, cleaned up and ready to go. I will be a few weeks after spring break before we go.
Cheyenne6We will be going to Williamsburg V.A.
Not camping[:(]... still to early for the DW
Going to the Time share![:D]
We try to take this trip each year.
Driving from New YorK to Virgina... you get to see Winter become
Spring in one day!
