WHAT IS THIS ????? IS EVERYONE CAMPING ?????
If I hear anybody joining ShirleyT and having a blast camping, I don t want to know !!!!
I am busy cleaning up the garage and making space for the " CAMPING GEAR" !!!
I am tired (Been up since 3:30 am as usual), all the beer cans need to go back to the beer store (Maybe I will get one free can of beer) , and there is still a lot of ebay work to do.
If we had a backyard proper, I would setup the tent and sleep in it tonight ! It is going to be only 32 F tonight. 0 Celcius, feels like spring [:D]
Anyways, this is my daily rant brought to you by an AMD powered noisy fan house. I am never building AMD ever again, I have 7 fans on this thing going full blast, temperature on the cpu is still 58 degree C, that is like 123091723091287 F to you peoples [8D].
I shall check on this board again and I had better see some action !
birolHi birol,
I m here, at least for a little bit. Enjoying the sunshine here in MI (63 degrees today). Just watching all the snow melt from around the camper (still can t move it, yet [:@]), watching the water collect in the yard, puddling up in places & leaking into my basement [:o] Got most of it all solved, except a small spot.
Gotta go to a district meeting here in about an hour, so I ll be back later.
birolYup me too, looking for melted places in the yard that are big enough for Spanky to do her thing in. It seems like everytime I go outside, the spots of grass are a little bit bigger.

birolSpots of grass? I just put down fertilizer and crab grass preventer yesterday afternoon! Of course, it s raining today! Ah well... First camping trip of the season is now less than a month away for me...
birolOk, here is the rule :
People south of PA does not rub in the fact that their spring has arrived. We have a lot of snow and ice on the ground still, melting fast, but I don t have any patch of soil visible yet. I think I will take a picture and put it up for you folks to see.
birolI m home doing laundry, washing dishes, waiting for DH to get home with the new to us TT. I thought he d be here by now but he should be here any time. I
m anxious to get in there and start cleaning. Today it s warm, sunny, beautiful...who knows tomorrow we may have snow!
So not everyone is camping....yet....
birolAlthough I still have snow in the yard, my driveway finally finished melting today. Later, I plan to popup and sit inside my camper. At least that s the plan but we all know what happens with plans.

DiWOk, here a three pictures : http://community.webshots.com/user/baytimur

I love snow [:@][:@][:@]
birolHi birol... I mostly post on the Nick-Neff-Cough threads, but since they seem to all be off camping this weekend, I need to venture out and meet some new people. Six and a half years ago I made the trek from Michigan to California so I understand the weather talk. My family is still back there and believe me, I plan our visits carefully so that we stay away from the negative temperatures and the high ones that have 98% humidity to go along with them. I do brag to my family about our weather out here hoping that one day they will make the move, but I promise to behave when I m posting. Spring is just around the corner and I ll send some sunshine your way!!!
birolBirol
I thought you had snow. I ll trade you my snow cover for yours.
I still have 2 plus feet all over the yard. It is melting now though. I can now see the roof of the camper. Last week it was the roof racks that I could see.
It is a balmy 55 degrees right now but since I can t get the camper out of the snow, I am not out camping.

birolI vacuumed, stripped, and put a coat of Future on the floor of the PU today. I will put a second coat on tonight or tomorrow. We are keeping the PU in the neighbors garage so I can keep it open part way while I do the work. The outside needs a good cleaning and then it will be read to stock it. Well I will be ready to stock it, but the weather will not let me do that yet.[:D]
birolLet s see... dealing with two dead batteries in my truck (wore out at the same time[:@]), helping transport a friend to S.F. for radiation treatments [:(], collecting and splitting/stacking a bunch of stormfall wood for camping season (oh my aching back[:o]) A lot of things coming together all at once-- haven t had time to hang around PUT lately.
I ve gotta admit, there hasn t been anything in my life that s made me feel more helpless than watching my friend fight a brain tumor. All you can do is be there for him, tell him you love him (*real* men can admit it), and offer to help in any way possible. Providing transportation helps him and his family deal with one less problem. It really puts things in perspective, cuz when you think YOU have some problems in your life, well... it really *can* be worse. [>:]
birolWell, I m preparing for the arrival of a new computer (yah!! [:D]) and we re busy with the kitchen renovation. So between backing up files and painting, I haven t had much time to do anything else.
But the snow is melting and I m thinking of moving the camper so I can wash the case and get it opened up.
birolJust spent a frustrating 5 hrs. putting new leaf springs on the truck. Amazing how you fix one thing, and you find others, like new ball joints, alignment, tires...[:@]
But at least ALL the snow has melted!!!65 balmy degrees here, 5 more weeks til our first trip.[8D]
If you ll excuse me, I m going to get a beer......[;)]
birolI wish we were camping!
Been a fantastic day in the weather dept! Spent the day outside, cleaning up the winter garbage thats accumulated, swept off the porch and chopped up 3 inches of ice that wouldnt melt away causing a big puddle next to the house.
Got to see neighbors creep out of their houses,so we all had to congregate and have a welcome spring drink for a few!
The sun felt so good, the trees are budding....come on spring!!!!!!!
birolIt feels so good to have my popup popped up again [:D] It s like seeing old friends again. Good news - no critters, no mildew - what a sigh of relief. With all today s activities like soccer, washing the cars, bike riding, having kids friends over, we didn t get to spend much time inside the popup SO I left it up. Will go have a cup of coffee in it tomorrow. Can t wait. Does that sound too dorky? Well, who cares? It makes me happy.
Di
birolDiw that is not " dorky at all. We have slept in our PU when it was popped up on front of the house.
Isn t it comforting to find out that you are not the only ones who luv their PU![:)]
So go for it!
birolStarryart,
My son and I slept in it (in our driveway) back when we first got it 2 yrs ago. That was the beginning of April and the nights were warmer. As tempting as it is to sleep out there tonight, I don t think I d get up in time to get my 3 kids ready for school. The first one s bus comes at 7am. Plus it s still a bit chilly - had a hard time putting down the stabilizers today. Kept slipping on the ice all around the popup. There s alot of snow on the back side of the popup so not much room to manuever.
Both of my daughters had friends over today and everyone had to go in and see the popup. Soon enough, their friends were dropping plenty of hints about wanting to go camping this year. Just the response I was hoping for.

birolI have survived my trip to get the TT . St. louis nice and warm. As we were driving though northern ILL. they still had mounds of the white stuff just laying around. I am sure if any of us southern people who wanted some they would properly ship it to us. With no hard fealings either. I told my son they should put a rock on the top of the biggest mound and for ten bucks a guess any one who picks the day that rock hits the ground wins the money.
birolAll the snow pictures are making me homesick Hopefully they ll still be some in MN when I get there for vacation Wed.[:(] Oh Well I had a really nice time out camping in the new Coleman this past weekend! Can t do that in MN[:D]
birolI feel guilty that I came off wrong when I started this thread. It is just that I don t have much to do and was in a very chatty mood.
I hope all works out for all for the best .....
I have finished packing and pricing my ebay stuff ...... Too tiring for the amount of money it brings but oh well ..... Better than nothing. See you all tonight at the chat
