tlhdocHas anyone seen the reports of what the reaction of Iraqi people was as the US rolled into Safwan. Here are a few:

Some chanted, " Ameriki! Ameriki!"
" Saddam Hussein is no good. Saddam Hussein a butcher."
" No Saddam Hussein!" one young man in headscarf told Gurfein. " Bush!"

tlhdocI knew of a Iraqi students while in university in Turkey. They all had escaped from Saddam s regime and descrived Iraq as a place one can t live a normal life, this, between 1997-1983. What they described was mind boggering .....

So I am not surprised at what Nick posted ....

I hope the loss of life will be minimal with the objective achieved quickly.
