Just when I hoped the MUD would start drying up, now we re supposed to get 6 to 10 inches of Heavy Wet Snow! Even though I love Cross Country Skiing, I m starting to really dislike THIS Winter! It started in October, we were cross country skiing on Nov. 10th, and just when we think Spring is here- Blam, hit with another snow storm!
There goes my dreams of an early camping season in Vermont!
garym053Jst let the dog in and after being out about 4 minutes she had an inch of snow on her back. We ve had about 6 inches since morning. The only good news is the roads are warm enough and still have a salt crust to melt most of it.
garym053It s close to 90 degrees today, and once my 2 y/o wakes up from his nap, I think we may go for a swim in the pool. DH is putting together the new Weber grill, and we ll probably break it in with a bbq and margaritas tonight. Next weekend, we ll be beach camping in Malibu.
Aaaahh, life is good (and warm) in our neck of the woods![8D]

garym053I know what you mean. We ve had a bit of a chilly spring here too. It will be beautiful and in the middle 60 s one day and then down in the 20 s the next.
We ve been lucky in not having too much snow, but we re just getting into April now and are always guaranteed at least one snowstorm in April (its like...mother nature s last big laugh!!)[:@][:@][:@]

garym05361 degrees here in Tahoe, but predicting snow on Wednesday... We took the popup out of the garage today to clean it up, might have to put it back in on Tuesday, bummer. We are headed to Baja in 10 days, yeah..... The weather guys haven t been right all winter, all the storms since January have split and gone either north or south of us, hope they are wroing this time! My skis have about 2 more days in them and then its time for spring [:D]

Been sleeting here all day. Just turned to snow. I started to feel like I am coming down with a cold this afternoon so maybe the snow will mean a delayed opening for school. That may be the only good point I can find with snow here again! I tell you one thing... It had BETTER NOT damage my lovely tulips and daffodils that just started peeking up!!!
garym053It was 70 and sunny yesterday here in Va. We woke up this morning to 6 inches of wet snow. What next? We had thought of a shake down run this weekend and I m so glad we didn t go. But then again, we ve never popped down in the snow. Burrrr.

Today, we get back home on the mountain just in time to turn on the scanner and listen to them close the highways, even the Interstate due to snow and ice. Just made it home in time.
It will all probably melt by tomorrow. Can we count this as the Onion Snow?
Maybe it s done now. I do hope so.
garym053It got done to freezing here over the weekend and my daughter was ON A CAMPOUT! [:o] She was gone with the girlscouts, at least they stayed in cabins (with gaping holes) but she said she was warm in her sleeping bag [:D].
On the upside the weather man said that should be the last of our winter weather and SPRING IS HERE......I have heard that before, like LAST WEEK! [:@]
garym053The only thing I can say to get even with Griffsmom is that here in Vermont, IF I meet 5 cars on my way to work in the morning " rush hour" it s a traffic jamb!! How s your traffic?
(Of course, Not taking the time to look where Foothill Ranch IS in California, I may be assuming it s busier than it is!!! Oh well, it s the only comeback I could think of!)

You got me on that one. Foothill Ranch is in South Orange County (by Mission Viejo, Irvine, or Laguna Beach, if you know where any of those cities are). My drive to work is 20 miles but depending on traffic, it can take me 45 minutes to get there. But I was born and raised here, so it really doesn t even phase me. I used to work out of my home for a while and I actually felt out of sorts not having that commute time to gear up for work and organize my thoughts![:o]

garym053In the high 70 s to low 80 s here in TX this week. My daffodils have bloomed and are now wilting.
Snowwww..hmmm...let s see now....I remember snow....it s that white fluffy cold stuff, right? I once saw snow, I was 10, it was beautiful. (Laughs) [8D]
garym053Already clipped all the bushes and hedges and put out the fertilizer. We are planting the new azaleas, wave petunias, sunflowers, daffodils, etc.. this week. The hostas are growing at an alarming rate and there is plenty of sunshine to go around. The temps cooled down on Sunday, but after a few days with highs in the upper 50 s and low 60 s we should be back to mid-seventies weather. How is the weather where you are?
garym053Had been up in the seventies this past week. When to the lake house turned on the water started the spring cleaning, came home. Got up Sunday morning for church it was snowing and sleeting, looked beautiful, didn t last long. Tomorrow should be up in the seventies again and maybe up to eighty by Friday.
