Between now and October (that s when campgrounds around here close) how many campgrounds have you made reservations for? Last summer we headed out cross country so we had a lot on our list, but this year so far only a couple plus regular trips up north. Still trying to decide on Gettysburg if there s any sites left for July.
CamperrooOnly have reservations for the first three, but have five weekends mapped out. We haven t done anything for July or August yet because of the heat and being unsure of camp plans.
Camperroo4 trips total, 24 nights in all - 1 in April (3 nights), 1 in May (3 nights), 1 in June (4 nights), 1 in July (2 nights), 1 in August (12 nights). We haven t made plans yet for fall.
CamperrooCamperroo,
Check this out under whitestar505. http://tlhdoc.tripod.com/cotoc/id8.html
Working on a plan to go to work out the state park for some of the summer. I am only 40 mins away from one and 20 mins from another and it is a nice straigth shot to work. Both wife and I work at the same location... I am hoping to get a total of 3 months of camping in this year. Have to justify the cost of the 2003...
Camperroo7 trips, 18 days of camping planned so far! The following are our reservations so far:

CamperrooOK, I have a few questions. Is everyone here retired or wealthy? Does everyone live in either a condo or apartment? Or does everyone just put a higher priority on getting the camper out than what has to be done around the house? Once again it seems we have too much going on to use the camper as much as we would like.
Oh no, Not the maybe it s time to sell it saga, again.........[:@]
So far this year:
0 trips as of yet
1 trip planned for the Memorial Day weekend.

Plan? pfffhh..what s that?! LOL kidding...
NOT KIDDING HERE! I have no idea how many times I will go. I will go as often as I can. So far just one trip. The for sure trips will be Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day and Fall Break in October. Now for the whenever trips I have it planned something like this...
Work Monday to Monday (8 straight days) go camping Tuesday thru Sunday...etc. As long as I work 8 days straight I can get my whole 2 week schedule in, maybe sometimes I can work 7 days or a very long 6 days. I have a very flexible schedule.
So however many trips I can fit in!!
CamperrooStarted planning our trips in November last year. Some of the places we would be going fill rather fast and if you don t reserve them early you lose out on the good spots.
April -- 11 - 14 /1. Horseshoe Point CG (COE) (waaaaay off the beaten path)
17 - 21 /2. Newport News Park
May -- 16 - 19 /1. Grindstone CG (USFS)
19 - 22 /2. Roanoke VA
June -- 06 - 09 /1. Seneca Shadows, WV
21 - 27 /2. RJ Ranch - Eastern Rally
29 - 30 /3. Bandits Roost CG (COE)
July -- 01 - 13 /1. Bandits Roost CG (COE)
Aug -- 29 - Sep 1 /1. North Bend CG (COE)
Oct -- 24 - 27 North Bend (?)
The best thing about this schedule is that 7 of the places are already paid for and reservations are confirmed. So with that, I only have two location which will need payment later.
Eight days to kick off!!!!![:D][;)]
CamperrooWe have 10 group trips planned this year.

We live in a condo. DH has been employed with the same company for 24+ years so with vacation, personal days and a fabulous schedule, he gets lots of time off. I am an independent contractor and have a very flexible schedule. We are not wealthy but do put a HIGH priority on camping. Kids are all grown and on there own, so we are quite free. By joining the Nick-Neff-Cough group, we take turns " wagonmastering" our get-togethers, so many times the only thing we have to do is show up. DH and I find it a bit unusual that we don t camp in the summer, but we have to leave some time open for family to come visit. [8D] Also, we have no pets since we lost Rocky. [;)]

We have reservations in June at Fort Custer SP for a week with a group. We will be camping for a week over the 4th. The rest of July and August we will do some mid-week camping. Just returned a 1/2 hour ago from a rare mid-week quick one nighter. Isn t PU ing great?!

We only get 2 weeks of vacation, and it can t be taken all at once - so we have to take a lot of short trips, usually pretty nearby. Unfortunately, we re not wealthy either and do have to occasionally stay home and do things that need to be done with our house. But, we d much rather be camping!!!

Red neff BarchettaWow, You guys plan alot of trips!
We have 3 planned, which is 2 more than usual...this is a unique year in that we have actually made reservations. Usually we just go and wing it except for vacations.
So far we have Memorial weekend planned for a few nights in Indiana with a few board members.
Made reservations at a local SP for the 4th of July weekend (DH most likely has to work that Sat)
And finally the last week of July we will be going to PA for a week to camp with a few more board members.....can t wait for that week to roll around!
The rest of our camping will be unplanned weekends at out whim.
We are hoping to get 1 week in the fall to spend beck in the woods in the UP.
Red neff Barchetta4 trips 20 nights total so far. A couple more trips will be spur of the moment.
Red neff BarchettaHave several trips in the works: Memorial Day in IN (with a few PUT ers); a week in July in PA (with a few more PUT ers). Hmmm.....this is sounding alot like Marcy s message. [;)] Also, plan to join in a few TPUC trips, and I m sure a couple spur of the moment trips will come up, too. I can t wait!!!!

Hey! Me 3, I too will be at the PA Blowout! I am SO looking forward to it too Marcy. Besides that trip I only have one other one planned. But the PA trip at the end of July with fellow PUTers is for sure going to be the best. I think there are about 15 Familys going...Right? Never a dull moment around here!

Camperroo[8D]We just went last week-John Prince Park, Lake Worth, Fl
2 nights in April, Hopefully Manatee Hammock-Titusville, FL
3 nights in May, Troical Palms, Kissimmee, FL
5 nights in Peace River-
7 Night at Ginney Springs, North of Gainsville, FL
3 nights in Sept, Long Point
2 nights in Oct, Lion Country Safari
And we haven t finished planning. The best part of living in Florida is that we go year round.
Red neff BarchettaWow......
It sounds like most of you have a lot more trips planned than I do. I think I will make it out at least 4 times this year. Only one of my camping trips is planned and reserved currently, but I have the dates set for the others (I just have to decide where I want to go).
Its possible I could be talked into doing 5, but 4 is a good number for me (and my budget....hehehe).
I kind of look at it this way. I m not going to get out as much as I would like (My goal in future summers is to do at least 6 trips with one being at least 1 week long). Instead of feeling bad about this, I take everything I ve got and throw it into planning the 4 trips I KNOW I will be making. That makes each trip that much more FUN...(not to mention PRICELESS.....every trip has its memories[;)][:)]).
