I didn t have it personally, but one of the people I work with got it.  Showed up as swollen glands in his neck.  After treatments, he recovered fully and completely.  Suppose to be a very treatable form of cancer.

So welcome back and good luck.  Time spent resting and recovering now can mean years later.

 jpreiserJanet,
I helped a friend through his journey with NON hodgkins.  As I recall, your cancer is very treatable.  Watching Biography Sunday night, did you know that Tracy Nelson (Ricky Nelson s daughter) also had Hodgkins?  She has fully recovered and has 2 babies now!

I hope you have a terrific support network at home; obviously you have one here!  Positive thoughts and prayers go your way for a speedy recovery.

jpreiserMy wife went thru the big guns chemo and radiation for it. She just went past her 10 year checkup. She was really sick. It took a long time to recover. The first year we went on vacation to Myrtle beach and stayed in a motel. We had thought she was better but she was still very very weak. She was only 32 at the time. Had 3 babies 4,2 and newborn. It really changed her outlook. You need to build yourself back up for a while and give yourself some time.  Camping might not be the best thing to do right away. You might want to wait a season. You are in the worst of it now it gets better.
  Good Luck,
  John

jpreiserSounds like you had the lighter side of chemo. My son went through 3 1/2 years of chemo plus cranial radiation at age 4 for leukemia. He s here with us today, and that s all that matters.[:)]

It s amazing the miracles of modern medicine and the power of prayer.

Good luck on your upcoming radiation treatments.
