Hello, all
Today I undertook a job that I hope solved a problem before it turned into a larger problem.
We (Cheryl and me) went for our spring " shake down" camp-out last weekend. There was a generous amount of rain. We had some water dripping out of the rivet hole that holds up the door rail on the ceiling. The gasket for the AC was leaking. Anyway, I picked up a replacement and put it on. Not a simple task, but not too difficult. One thing I noticed, when the dealer installed the unit, they didn t seal the open edges of the roof cut. So when water went under the gasket, it wicked right into the ceiling panel. I d prefer it to go into the AC lower housing shroud. Then I d know I need to snug down the bolts without ruining the ceiling.
Maybe tomorrow I ll do something else. My camper is a work in progress.
Happy Modifying..err.. Camping!!
Caped CODgerCaped CODger,
We went out that weekend also. It was wet foggy and windy. Maybe the wind wipped some rain in for ya.
Caped CODgerI guess my camping schedule coincides with the rain predictions. We went out last weekend and got rained on Friday night. I am happy to report that my job of replacing the AC gasket must have been successful. NO WATER IN CAMPER!!
Just thought I d let everyone know.
Happy Camping
Bob
