Few days after the ice storm, a huge chunk of ice fell from the roof to the top of Windstar, the roof is now dinged (well, more than a ding, dented) in two places and an area 3" long has lost its paint.
I am going to buy some touch up paint and try to cover it myself before it starts to rust. I also found out that the Ford dealer I took the car for maintenance (where we bought it from) did not close the air filter housing properly. It has a locking latch and it was open, filter open in the middle , letting unfiltered air go into the engine. God knows how long it has been that way, I have been getting horrible gas milage for a while, would that possibly be the cause of it ?
Yeah, like I said, why does it have to happen to me ?[:(]
biroltake heart birol, that chunk of ice could ve fallen on your head! [;)] [:D]
Dirt proberly got into your engine from the unlatched filter, which could affect your gas mileage. At least you found out now, and hopefully your mileage will improve. Good-luck [:)]
