 whitestar505Whitestar,
Join the club[:@] We have off and on rain all weekend. I just checked the rain gauge and we have picked up over 3"  since Thursday[&:] If it keeps up you might just need to change your signature[;)]. This sure seems to be one wet year! They announced the other day that the 4 year drought in NC is offically over. Gee I wonder why, what a good use of my tax dollars to tell me the drought is over.[8D]

whitestar505We just got home from Sacandaga State Park. It rained Friday night, was very heavy on Saturday. Sunday was beautiful and then it started to rain Sunday night and into today.

We had a great trip. It was very relaxing, we had some awesome food and just hung out.

whitestar505It stated raining Friday Night about 8:30 pm, Rained all day Saturday, stopped just before noon on Sunday, then Started again about 5 am this morning! STILL, to me, camping in the rain is better than NOT camping! We did manage to fit an 8 mile kayak paddle to watch the Loons on a lake near our campground!

whitestar505We had rain Friday night (after we were set up [:D]) and part of Saturday, so we went to see a cave.  Sunday was dry and nice out.  Sunday night and Monday morning it rained.  On the way home I noticed the rain stopped about 8 miles east of the park.[:@]  I wish the front would have been a little further west of the campground.

whitestar505The good part is, we missed it by {{{that}}}much!  They called for rain all weekend; ended up with a lot on Friday however dry, warm and very pleasant the rest of the weekend.  The bad part, we wern t camping, the bunkhouse is in for repairs and we re fixing up the house to get it ready for sale.  At least it was decent painting weather!

whitestar505Just got back from Water s Edge.....talk about rain. Came in on Friday....just showers (thats okay). Rain showers for one hour saturday morning and then started again saturday night. Nice and sunny on sunday.....but I wouldn t have known. I was told friday morning that I had to come home on sunday because my grown sons and wifes wanted to take me out for my 50th birthday. Surprise on me.....my husband had thrown me a surprise party and ernhrts3n8 was in on it. Boy she had me fooled.....I never would have guessed. Then came today.....I never saw so much rain in my life. Because Darlene got a bigger TT, we had asked my family to come down. Well.... we re used to camping in rain so it was better to be there then at home. All 12 of us were in her TT....we had a ball. She even has a " redneck"  picture of my grandson. She plans to post it on her web site.....it is so funny. Well, we made the best of it and had a great family time.

whitestar505Rain????   You should have been camping with us in Indiana.  A few sprinkles, but not enough to keep us away from the campfire.

whitestar505A wash-out was what they predicted, but down on the NC outerbanks it actually turned into a pretty nice weekend considering. Apparently our wash-out move a bit further to the north!!! [;)]
