I was home packing the camper today, and much to my surprise, somebody stole one of my matching 20 lb tanks off the hitch and left the other one behind.[:@][:@]
Question 1: Why would someone only steal one?
Question 2: Are these tanks the same as my grill?. The valve appears the same and I have an extra Blue Rhino for the grill which I could use.
Question 3: Will I have problems refilling at campgrounds if I get a Sams/Lowes/BH drop and swap tank?
Thanks in advance for any help.
Dennis
HomerdenSounds to me like someone needed to cook dinner! [&:] What nerve! I believe they are the same as for the grill, in fact they d better be as our grill backup is going to become our 2nd tank on the PU!

HomerdenWhat a rotten thing they did. Yes the tank and valve are the same.
HomerdenI found out why they took only one tank. THE OTHER ONE WAS EMPTY!
HomerdenThat stinks. I guess I m a little more pessimistic about human nature; I keep my tanks locked to the frame with a braided metal cord and padlock.
HomerdenI would just buy a new tank, and have it filled. You can read about the issues with the Blue Rhino ones.
Really makes you wonder about some people resorting to stealing a propane tank! I did run a small thing bike lock through mine and around the tongue just to be safe.
HomerdenI too lock my tanks to the trailer with a steal cable and a padlock. No, it won t stop anyone that really wants it, a pair of bolt cutters will take care of that in about 10 short seconds. But it s a deterrent!!!
