Hey there Doug... Not an official Floridian yet, though we are alll set to close on our house in Jax Aug 5. It s a great place!
Brenda... I just missed you. I was there Tues, Wed, Thur and Fri getting home inspection done and kids registered in school. The house is in Julington Creek Plantation. The kids will be schooled at the new Durbin Creek Elem. Have you seen it? I can t believe that they are going to have it ready in just 3-4 weeks. It looks like they only just started the builing!!! Aparently the interiors are almost finished.
I spent some time just driving around making note of the surroundings. Found a nice fishing pier down 13. Shands Pier. Also a great BBQ place. Bull s on Baymeadows. We will be back down on 8/3. Holed up in a trash apartment complex until the closing. (DH is living there now. He started work a couple weeks ago.) Love to get together with you. Friends are in short supply down there. Non-existent, actually. I did find a babysitter!!! Score! She s an employee at the kid s school and as it turns out, she lives on the same street as us!
