Title: campfire rings w/grills
Post by: SuZone on Sep 28, 2003, 07:05 PM
DH and I had a terrific weekend camping at Lake Carmi, Vt, over July 4th.  And, the sites all had really neat fire rings w/mounted grills.  Just what we were looking for to put in our own backyard  campground !  So, my google search came in handy again, and I found them!  Take a look, http://thegrillstoreandmore.com/charcoal-post-mount-grills.asp
They are the first fire grill shown.  Of course, DH states that if I get that, he s buying the new bug machine that s the latest and greatest by Coleman.  All part of the popup experience in our own backyard![:D]

 SuZoneSuZone,

They want way too much money.

I picked mine up from [link=http://www.gordonswelding.com/]Gordon s Welding in PA[/link] for a total of $89 delivered.

I got the " U"  shaped one with the cooking grate.

[link=http://www.title-3.com/images/P0002162.jpg]Here is a photo of mine in the back yard in front of the shed.  Please excuse the mess, the shed was under construction at the time of the photo[/link]  Note: this is a large file, dial up users should click with caution.

 SuZoneTim,

That is one nice looking  shed ! What size is the inside ? Do you have plans for it ? I am about to build a 8*12 on our back yard but DW wants an overhang like yours have and it is difficult to build one with no plans for me.

 birolBirol,

Sorry to say with work and the rally I didn t have time to do it myself.  I paid to have it done.  They didn t give me any plans.

It s 8 X 10 ft inside with the 3 foor porch out front.

For those nights after work when we can t go camping we sit by the fire with a little refreshment.

SuZoneI have to agree with the outrageous prices on that site...although, I do love the one you have chosen. Several of our state parks have that type and I just love it. We have one that looks identical to the cast iron 24 inch Monteray Firepit that they sell for $399!!! Good grief!!!  Ours was less than half that price!!
