Title: It must not be cheap to run a board
Post by: Popupper on Sep 28, 2003, 07:05 PM
I lurk on several boards and found a thread on Pop Up Explorer interesting, especially after wathcing PUT experience the same thing last year. I m not hammering anyone, I m just acknowledging the frustrastion that successful board operators go through when they try to be good guys.

PopupperDealing with a hosting company that s large enough to handle a buzy Internet forum s traffic is like dealing with any big utility company and they have plenty of business. Switching companies for a better deal takes a lot of work and upfront expenses.  It s difficult, but you have to find someone on the " inside"  that will be there when you need them. It took us a long time but we have " that person"  at our hosting company now, so life is good. Who knows what tomorrow brings?

PopupperHmmmmm, yes it can be expensive and time consuming but I think this board is right on track and the best.  The other one is showing some similarities, though.  I just looked at it and it reminds me of the old PUT.[>:]
