Title: Dream Camp Ground
Post by: John the Baptist on Sep 28, 2003, 07:05 PM
If you could camp any place on this earth with your current pop up trailer.

 1. Where would it be?
 2. Who long would you camp there?
 3. Who and what would you bring with you?

John the BaptistKawai (I think thats how you spell it) or the garden Island.  Right off of the beach in a large grove of palm trees.  Very secluded.

For about a month with just the DW and no kids.  Hmmm, our 25th wedding anniversary is next year........Maybe.

John the BaptistWe love southern Utah because of the incredible scenery and the great hiking. Two Jack campground in Canada was wonderful  with elk walking in the lake in front of our tent each evening. We love several of the campsites at our local Fort Custer.  They are so big that that you cannot see your neighbor and  can have forty people for dinner without crowding. The Daniel Boone NF has some wonderful camgrounds with private sites.
We backed up into a site at Indian Lake in Michigans UP that was wooded , large and overlooked the lake without being crowded together like the lakeside lots were.
We have been in some states that when they make a campground the first thing they seem to do is bring in a bulldozer and get rid of all of the trees.
I do not have any one favorite campground as we like to travel a lot.

John the BaptistMy " dream"  campground is the one that offers unconditional child care when I need it, maid service to put the camper back together in the morning, and makes dinner every night!  There are also no mosquitoes or bugs, skunks, and all the other campers are so quiet you think your alone!  There is also a huge stack of free firewood for everybody - right next to all the free smores supplies!  It is also right on the lake, or ocean and the kids can swim right from our site!  Wow, I could go on and on!  [:)]

John the BaptistWith all the rain we have been having I would settle for one that wasn t under water and had LEVEL sites.[&:] But I think the beach is my favorite place, give me a campsite with full hookups on a tropical island with daily delivery service and I would be satisfied...for a while.[8D]

I would want to stay at Apache CG in Myrtle Beach, SC with these options PLUS level concret pads, with FREE camping from the day after schools get out to the day before school starts.  They do offer activities (usually vacation bible school offered by various churches, but it only last during the morning for 1.5 hours[:(], ALL DAY would be great[:D])

I guess so, I don t want to put any pressure on them though. Whenever they want to part with it. Lee might want to use it one more time after the delivery with his sons and give the mom a break [:)]
