So far we like Isabel (?) Thomas as the first pick... how about it people, working with our last name, give me your ideas
[:)] Please..
Firefyter-EmtMy DMIL was Isabel Lucile.[:)]
Firefyter-EmtMy oldest daughter , Sarah Jean, gave birth to my first grandchild back in August and named her Isabella Rose.[8D]
I also have a younger daughter, Jennifer Ruth, and a son, Christopher James.
HTH[8D]
Firefyter-EmtOur GD is Shaylee Marie? Does that help. She s the big
2.
Firefyter-EmtNicole LeeAnn Thomas
Jessica Brooke Thomas
There you have four names that be chosen from. LeeAnn, of course, being named after her Daddy.
Have fun picking your daughter s name.
Firefyter-EmtHmmm.....Isabel LeeAnn? Kinda combines both parents names if I remember correctly!
Firefyter-Emtwell, frankly, I think her mother (Andrea) has one of the most beautiful names there is. But if you dont want to have two in the same house with the same name (we have that in our family--oldest DD shares my name), you could always do something like Alexandria (or Alexandrea) and call her Alex. Always loved the names Jennifer, Isabella, Anna, Rebecca, Zoe, Emily, Ramona, Eve--should have had a dozen baby girls so I could use up some of the nice names around. Amadea (which means " Love Of God" in Latin) is beautiful, although perhaps a bit offbeat.
Seriously, how about a family name? Both of our girls were given first and middle names which reflect names already in our families, as was our grandaughter. LeeAnn is a great idea, too, and it is very pretty.
BTW, CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!AGAIN!!!!!!!

How about Isabel Ringing Thomas??
Or Lea Andrea Thomas??
I really don t think " (?)" is a very good pick though[8D]
Anyway, congrats to you and Andrea and it is about time you added a girl!!
Miller TymeHmmm.. My wife really likes Isabelle Rose Thomas
(me too. [:)] )
( She has told me though, not Isabele... Nor Isabella, Just Isabelle -- Like " is a bell"
PS.. Charlie.. Our first thought was ? kinda like Prince.. LOL I guess it would be a wierd middle name though..
Firefyter-EmtKristen Isabelle Thomas...and you can call her Kit for short! [:)]
Mary Beth
Firefyter-EmtNCSunshine took mine - I love Brooke as a middle name! BTW, I do think you re doing an excellent job of " thinking pink" ! [:)]
-Teri
Firefyter-Emt[:D] i vote for leigh anne too! [:D]
Firefyter-EmtOur Dd is Heather Rochelle. Our Great Niece is Abrielle, there is Danica, Corinna.
Michaela is pretty. Eve, Morgan, Macenzie. Taylor, Alysha to name a few.
Good Luck.
Firefyter-EmtI like Emilee, not sure about a middle name.
I have a Stephanie Christine, Michelle Antoinette & DG is Kaitlyn Elizabeth.
Have fun choosing!
Firefyter-EmtI love Isabelle - no matter how it s spelled. And I love Rose - already I envision this very precious little with flowing hair and big beautiful eyes and lots and lots of pretty little dresses -though we shouldn t forget that she ll need denim overalls for camping!
Family names can be a blessing or a curse - my real name is Frances, after my mother, both my grandmothers and an aunt.... sigh... and I had to be growing up during the years of Francis the talking mule - not fun!!! My brother was named for my father, his father, my father s uncle and he (my brother) named his son the same name.... gets to be a lot of nicknames that are hard to outgrow! I would save any family names for a middle name - just my 2cents.
I m so excited for you all!
Rae
Firefyter-EmtIf our 2yo son had been a girl, he would have been named Jenna Isabell
Our 2 daughters Zoe Olivia
Lea Corrin
Congrats! Cindy

Hey Kaitlyn Elizabeth is my DD s name!! How wierd is that? Even spelled the same way ( there are so many different ways to spell Kaitlyn)
Firefyter-EmtWell, if in March they find out that Grandchild number 2 is a girl - her name will be LAUREN MARIE............[:)]
Firefyter-EmtMy cousin named his daugher Brooke Olivia, which I always thought was a pretty name. (BTW, his last name is also Thomas, so Brooke Olivia does work well with Thomas. LOL!)
Firefyter-EmtIf one of my three boys were a girl she would have been named Katy.
hbfc6When I had my son I didn t know what I was having so I picked Aaron or Erin as the name. I knew I would get an Aaron either way. I now have a little girl whose name is Emily Nicole.
hbfc6If my son had been a girl, her name would have been Ciara Nicole (pronounced like Sierra) I suppose we would have called her Ci Ci or Nicky except when I was really mad, then it would have been CIARA NICOLE!!! Now it s DALTON RICHARD!!!
hbfc6Thelma Louise??!!! [:D] Well, it is different! There are so many beautiful names out there, and these suggestions are great! I m really into the meanings though. I really like the name Mary, and it was my great-Grandmothers name, but it means " bitter" ! Oh well - the great name search goes on!
MtnCamperOne of my friend recently named her baby Emma Elizabeth.
My cousin named hers Reyna Cassandra Carmen.
My other cousin hamed his Jaisyn Cassidy (pronounced Jason).
hbfc6Hey look.. the " little mama" has finaly found her way on the board! [:D]
Well all, I have a list of these name stored on my Palm..
[ul]
- Hanna
- Isabelle Rose
- Kaitlyn
- Sarah (I like it, but we have close relaitives with the same daughters name)
- Rachel
[/ul]
hbfc6" Little Mama" ?!!! PLEASE, for the love of God, DON" T call me the " little mama" ! Could anything sound worse?? I really don t like pet names, but that one is awful! I guess it is better than others though....[: (]
hbfc6My daughter s name is Brandi Yvonne. If we would have had a boy we would have named him Jonathan Dante.
I would definately vote for Isabelle Rose for you guys though - a girl named that would have to grow up to be pretty.[;)]
Firefyter-EmtIf our s is a girl she ll be Genevieve Amanda. I also really like Abigail, Sophia, Emma, Rose or Rosemary, Margaret, Maria.
Firefyter-EmtJust had a new little great niece born Thurs. morning. Her name is Shannon Nichole. She is very petite. Love the name!
Firefyter-EmtOur little daddys girl is Rebekah Noel
hbfc6WITH 6 WEEKS AND COUNTING TO OUR NEWEST ADDITION-DANIEL JOHN PAUL CAVANAUGH. I SEND CONGRATS AND BEST WISHES TO YOU. HAD THE BABY BEEN A GIRL THE NAME WOULD HAVE BEEN SAMANTHA JANE.
hbfc6our last two sons would ve been Rebekah, but that was out this time around until I saw Rebakah Noel! I realy like that one too!!
hbfc6Ours is Nicole Elizabeth.
Elizabeth is a big family name in my family. I also really like the name Caroline. If you name her Isabelle, be prepared for the nickname Izzy, which you might not like so well. I also love the name Gabrielle or Gabriella.
hbfc6My cousin s little one is named Samantha Grace; almost a " family" name. Ok, nickname. When my cousin was little she loved Green Eggs and Ham and said " I m Sam, Sam I am" so often that the whole family still calls her Sam to this day. Samantha was named accordingly.
hbfc6Our DW is Savannah Katherine. It is actually a more common name now than it was when she was born. It is unique without being too far from typical names. Regardless, good luck with chosing a name. It was difficult for us to chose the names for each of our three kids. And in case the doctor did not get the gender right, have you chosen any boy names?
hbfc6The Dr. hasn t given us a gender at ALL! This is my " feminine intuition" kicking in full gear (that and an answered prayer)! Actually , when asking DH for another baby, I guarenteed it would be a girl. So I guess I better deliver the goods! [:)] This is the 1st time we will ever find out from the ultrasound, so it ll be funny if they can t even tell! I knew with my last baby, too. I didn t even pick out a girls name, although DH picked one out - just in case! Everytime I start thinking up boys names it just feels like a waste of time - like I KNOW it s a girl, so why bother? Other than that, I ve NEVER been so sick with a pregnancy. [: (] I am a good pregnant person - I love it. This time around is so different - I hope it changes when I hit the 4th month! I actually have to go now - nausua is starting to hit me hard!
hbfc6Lee and Andrea,
No name suggestions, but I found you a song....
Family Tree by Darrell Scott
Dancin in the living room, cuttin up a rug
Dancin with a baby looks more like a hug
Livin in a house made of saw mill wood
Roll Over Beethoven never sounded so good
Hey, hey baby, baby let s go
Where we get the money, honey, I don t know
One more baby s all right by me
We ll just add another limb to the family tree
Raisin up babies is our new sport
You re one day late and I m a dollar short
Now maybe it was planned or maybe it was a goof
But a cat just has to dance on a hot tin roof
Hey, hey baby, baby let s go
Where we get the money, honey, I don t know
One more baby s all right by me
We ll just add another limb to the family tree
Well the lawn mower s broke and the tax is due
And if I find another tick I m gonna come unglued
We got hand me-down clothes, hand me-down shoes
We got the big-belly-mama-here-we-go-again blues
Hey, hey baby, baby let s go
Where we get the money, honey, I don t know
One more baby s all right by me
We ll just add another limb to the family tree
hbfc6bikolee, that is so sweet! [;)] Thank you so much!
Firefyter-EmtWe have a child who is now in her early 20 s her parents named Ruby Tuesday Rock and Roll. I kid you not. This child s sister was in my middle son s 2nd grade class. I could not hide my shock when the mom told me that her daughter s name was just profiled in the newspaper a few months earlier.
I had all boys, but I like Amanda (worthy to be loved) and Christina
hbfc6Stacy Lynn is my choice.
Try not to play around and be cutsy with the spelling unless you want your kid s name to be mispronounced her entire life. I work with a woman named Donnia who pronounces it Donna and says the " i" is silent. If only she was.
Firefyter-EmtDW and I decided that if we ever had a daughter we would name her:
Summer Rayne
Acts 2:38 girl
Quotebikolee, that is so sweet! Thank you so much!
You re welcome[:)] And may I say, congratulations!
TrlrboyAndrea,
For all three of mine, I felt that I was having a particular sex, and I was right with each one! I believe in mother s intuition! Having a daughter is a wonderful joy though, not better than having sons, just different. I wish you all the best.
mrflindersIf my second had been a girl, the name would have been Tessa Mae
mrflindersI named my daughter after me, Shiane. SHI from SHIrley and ANE from diANE. However I let her father pick out a name and he chose Porsche after a girl in the movie " A fish called wanda" . Shiane Porsche just didnt sound right, so she became Porsche Shiane. On her fathers side she has a cousin Mercedes and a cousin Lexus.
I love the name Isabelle, I think Lanae goes well with it.
mrflindersI tend to go for the old fashioned names like Willa, Lily, Tessa, Jenna, Sophie.
Firefyter-EmtHad my son been a girl, the name would have been Jadrienne Kay ( Jade for short).
mrflindersIf we had had another girl my husband always said we would name her Phoebe or Philadelphia (and call her Philly) -- that s why we never had any more!
I have a granddaughter named Katie and she is as pretty and as sweet as her name. That s my favorite name. I have four other granddaughters -- Lauren, Allison, Jessica and Amanda. I love them all -- the kids and the names!
Good luck in picking one out. Whatever you choose it will fit her just right!
Carole
mrflindersCongrats Lee and Andrea, I know it s a worry, and you wonder how you will handle another, but you just do I think. Then you bring them home, and suddenly they are cooing and smiling, and crawling, and trying to walk and, you wonder how you would have lived without the new little person.
Now Andrea, don t go upsetting yourself about it if you have another son. After all from a biological perspective, it s Daddy that decides the gender, not Mom.
We looked and looked for a name for our third. We hated the name she was given at birth, and once the adoption is complete we choose her new name, so we wanted to go ahead and call her what we will name her. So we looked and looked, didn t necessarily want another K name, but the other two already had K names. You never know how she will feel about being adopted, so we didn t want to single her out on name too. Plus, almost anything we chose, to us, was better than her birth name.
So, we tried on different names, but it had to be something that went with Kaleb and Kaitlind. Low and behold, I found Hayleigh in a book, and we liked it, but it wasn t K so we just made it that way, and so we now have a Kayleigh. Haven t found any other baby girls with that name, and yet it isn t too off beat.
Now we just have to decide if she will be Kayleigh Elizabeth or Kayleigh Alizabeth. Since we have Kaleb Alexander and Kaitlind Alene, we are leaning to the A, but it is so different so maybe not.
mrflindersI like the " E" a lot! Just make sure her initals don t spell anything to funky!! Mine are ATT, my sisters are STD!! I always double check initals!! I don t have any worries if it s a boy, I m a confident boy-Mommy! I know what to expect, the geography, etc. It s the thought of a girl that s a little scary! Either way, we will hopefully know on March 13th, so I ll let you all know! [:D]
mrflindersOK, I m reviving this post because Thursday we are hopefully finding out if we do have a little girl in there. I asked my great-Aunt about some old family names and she told me of a great lady who took in my great-grandmother when her family split up and her name was Ruth Emma. This name really clicked for me! Although there is the hazard of calling her " Baby Ruth" hmmm...[;)]
We ll keep you posted Thur PM about the results!!

I know you would love to have a baby girl. BUT, it might be another bouncing baby boy. I gave up after 5 boys. My youngest is 9 the oldest is 25 years old. However, I now have a granddaughter. Good luck on getting your little girl. Let us know.
mrflindersAfter 3 boys in a row, DH said if this was a boy He wants to know because he needs time to psyke himself up!
QuoteBUT, it might be another bouncing baby boy. I gave up after 5 boys.
Yesterday my son lost his second bird to the cat [>:] [:(] [:o] [:@] I knew I d have to tell him when he got out of school, and broke the news right away. If all boys are as laid back as him, I ll take another one anyday!! All he said was, " Oh man....can I get another one tomorrow?" I waited all day for tears, saddness, any form of emotion. My other two are pretty laid back also. I ve heard girls are also a lot more whiney, but haven t really experienced this myself. I love my boys! I wouldn t mind another one at all.
bikoleeBikolee, DH and I were surprised the first two times - but the third time we knew what we were having. The surprises were fun - but the knowing was awesome! It was so wonderful referring to the baby as " he" and knowing that s really what he was!!!
Today is Wednesday - I m going crazy here waiting to hear what the sex of the baby is! Please post immediately after getting home and calling friends and family - cause we ll be thinking of you!
