JonesFamilyJaycoWe saw the coming attractions for the show, but did not remember to tune in.

Yes Nimrod (or Nemrod) was a real pop up camper brand. I have seen several for sale in local want ad books. I don t know the history of them, but that was the name on them!

JonesFamilyJaycoI watched almost all of it... saw the building process and then dozed off just before the race/test!  It hurt to see that poor pu getting holes and such cut into it!!!

JonesFamilyJaycoMy parents bought a used Nimrod - it was our family s first camper way back when, and then my dad traded it in on a new Apache hardside the next year. I don t think I ve seen a Nimrod PU since then - I ll try to catch the 10/5 episode, but might have to turn it off when the killing begins [:(].

JonesFamilyJaycoSomewhere I saw one posted that was a Scamper mounted on top of a pontoon boat with the  Scamper being up on stilts kind of like a beach house.  I guess you could fish by day and sleep by night...sort of a new fangled boat camper or popup-boat combo

JonesFamilyJaycoKinda sorta bit the bullet --  watched bits and pieces.  It wasn t as bad as I was first thinking -- from the outside, it was kinda neat -- seeing a PU moving along all by itself; but they had to gut it [:@]

Notice I said " Kinda sorta bit the bullet --  watched bits and pieces"  -- there really wasn t much on TV (not tow vehicle[;)]).  Except for gutting it, they didn t do much to the outside besides put a cover over it.  AND if someone else didn t bring up the subject, I would never have even looked at it as I do not like the show[:@]

Missy ! You either bite the bullet or not. You do not kinda bite the bullet ! You don t bite it, it flies away ! You are a shame to the PU community for watching a perfectly well PU being torn to pieces. Did you at least sorta cry ? [8D][8D][:D][:D][:D]

You bet I cried [:(][:(].  I started to watch the show once and didn t like it, I just had to see how bad the demolished the PU -- like I said, it still looked like a PU moving on it s own -- no TV.
