The twice weekly IRC chat has never gone away, but we have moved.
If you would like to join us (Mondays & Thursdays, 8pm - 10 pm Eastern time, 7-9 Central, 6-8 Mountain, 5-7 Pacific, etc.) then do this:
But, we have moved. We are no longer on the DalNet IRC network. Instead, we use the Eskimo IRC network.
If you have never used IRC:
This will take some time and effort but only needs to be done once.
Go to //www.mirc.com and follow the instructions there to download and install the correct version of mIRC. When you have finished that, go on to "Connecting to Eskimo" below.
If you have chatted with us in the past (on DalNet):
mIRC does not automatically know about the Eskimo network, so you will have to tell it how to connect to it.
Connecting to Eskimo:
1) Start mIRC. The "mIRC Options" screen will appear.
2) In the "Category" box, select "Connect".
3) Click the "Add" button. The 'mIRC Add Server" screen will appear.
4) Enter the following:
Description: Eskimo
IRC Server: irc.eskimo.com
Port(s): 6667
Group: IRC
5) Leave the Password box blank. Click "Add"
6) The "mIRC Options" box comes back to the top.
7) Select in the "IRC Servers" box, select "IRC"
8) In the second box, select "Eskimo".
9) Click OK.
The above steps only have to be done once. 7 & 8 will have to be done if you use other chat rooms.
Connecting to the chat:
1) Click the "connect" toolbar button (looks like a lightening bolt) and wait. This can take 15-30 seconds.
2) When the logon is complete (a whole bunch of irrelevant text will fly by), type "/join #pop-up-trailers" (without the quotes) and press enter.
You should be connected to the chat room.

Hey Austin! It's good to see you back posting here and thanks for the info on the chat. Some of us are hoping to get the chat back for this board, too. Let us know what you've been doing. How was the move? Are you settled yet? People have been asking about you.
OK, it's only 9:30 and I'm on all by myself! Is this right?
I tried the PUT chat room just now and there is one besides me on there from Canada.
to late now, I've got to go to bed! :S
