OK - give was it you!!!

I think I'll do #6 with the DD's gifts -- they'll enjoy that.  Last your I did  completely tape all the edges, flaps, seams to oldes DD's gifts -- she had a very hard time getting in since she had no fingernails.  Duct tape will really get her going this year.

I have to share this -- Off the subject of duct tape, many a moon ago, my brother gave my sister a gift in a very, very large box -- he did the box inside the box -- it was over 3' x 3' in size and every smaller box was gift wrapped also.  Several of the boxes he used he inserted just inside that box, the instructions (ie -- one box was for a portable TV and he had the instructions inside) so she thought that was the gift.  It ended up to be a charm for her charm bracelet in a very, very small box.

we always wrap several layers of duct tape (in holiday colors of course) around the paws of our 3 cats so  they will   look festive while wearing  the tape (which keeps them from denuding the Christmas Tree) (Uh oh, Al Parker is gonna kill me when he sees this!)  Then, we have a big ceremony when we unwrap their paws on 12th Night.  And as a way of making aplogizing for the taped paws, we make a nice fricassee of the Partridge that used to perch in the pear tree and feed it to them for a special treat

Tell me your kidding, NightOwl!!!     Poor little kittys!  I will confess here, though, to once shaving fur about two inches off from the tip of my cats tails!  :o   (no cat was harmed in this act) It was pretty funny... Ahemm, well.. anyway.. Oh and there was this other time when I put DH socks over thier head and let them run around the house.  They eventually figured it out!   :D

OK, "Uses for Duck tape " (I know, but it sounds that way!)  Usually the basic things, labeling boxes, etc.  OH WAIT, once we used it to tape DS onto the kitchen floor!  Rule #1 as a good parent "Never threaten a punishment unless you are willing to carry it out!" :) ( no child was harmed in this act, actually couldn't stop laughing)

Oh, Andi, I am SO SORRY not to have known your  hint about duct taping them to the floor when Alice was little--she was our little Dennis The Menace--full of curiosity and energy, and it would have helped to have her busy little person in one place for just a few minutes while I tried to clean and decorate for the holidays

(I'd have replied earlier but was laughing too hard to type!)

I used to threaten to wrap DGS in duct tape and throw him into the back of the closet, but never had the guts to do it.   (Like you said Andi, never know who hears and sees things).  He moved waaaaay to fast for most of us to keep up with.   But seriously, Elisa, wouldn't duct tape solve one of your problems???

I understand what you're saying, a friend of ours, was giving his DD a bath (she was like 2-3yrs) and he was shampooing the hair and making shapes with it.  DW came in and took pics -- when they got developed, someone contacted child services and he had to go thru so much to clear himself.  Things just keep getting worse (this was about 15yrs ago).

Maybe if I start to doze off. I would not want to fall into the campfire.

Well your wife was with you, and I remember you made a remark and she did make you behave, so maybe we will not need to duct tape you to a chair.  I will bring along a roll in case she needs some.
