Title: All I'm trying to do...
Post by: Acts 2:38 girl on Dec 16, 2003, 05:48 AM
...is bid on a Super Nintendo System on E-bay, but on every one, I've gotten outbidden!  I'm talking like 7-8 times here!  A friend gave us one for free with about 25 games.  We cleaned it all up inside, etc, buit it's pretty obvious that it's a goner.  We plan on putting it down in the play room in the basement.  Oour basement is devided in helf by a finished staircase so you have two rooms on either side.  One side was finished off and the other is not (our laundry room)  We have a huge playroom on the finished side, but the kids don't want to play down there by themselves!  I though if the Nintendo is down there, they will get used to it.  But now I can't get one!  My problem is that I refuse to pay over $20. for a used one, plus the $10. to ship it!   :)   Well, the good thing about e-bay is there is always new things coming up!

Anybody have a Ninteno they want to sell cheap?!! :D

Send me an e-mail ......

More information

I believe I have one you can have for 20 bucks :) It is difficult to get them for less than 20 bucks, they usually go for upwards of 30+, depends on the games and accessories. You should have thought of me when you thought eBay :)

DD is back from the hospital, they released her late yesterday afternoon after she managed to hold her lunch :) She is staying home for a few days now .....

Check to see if there is an Electronic Boutique in one of the local malls, it may be a little over $20, but they have factory refurbished game systems that you can trade your broken system in for. I think the Game Cube is about $30.00 with your trade in, but you have to check. Isn't game cube basically a super nintendo? New at Electronics Boutique, we bought one for the grandson for $99.00 with 3 games in the bundle (do not know if they are age appropriate though), Donna will have to figure that one out.

birol, I will let you know.  Right now I have an outstanding bid ending in 6 hrs.  Thank you, though !!  Good idea about the electronics botique, too.  I will pay up to $30. total , but with e-bay you also have to take shipping into account.  That's where some sellers really make some $$$$.  You have to be really careful to check out the shipping amt.

Just for the unit (No power supply, or controllers and so on), shipping should be around 6 usd from here ...... Good luck with your bid.

You might try using e-snipe (//www.esnipe.com).  They will bid for you with seconds to spare.  e-Snipe acts as your agent and places your bid up to an amount you specify with 4-6 seconds left in the auction.  You can set up bid groups so that once one bid wins all remaining bids in your group are cancelled.  I think that it is free for the first two weeks.  I have gotten some pretty decent deals using the service.  Now I never place a bid with eBay directly unless it is using BuyIt Now.

Sorry Paula, but the Game Cube is a much more sophisticated system than the Super Nintendo.  The Super N. is 2 systems older than the Game Cube is.

I don't know about e.snipe.  I've used it once or twice, but now I just decide the max I want to pay and just enter that.  Like I said, with e-bay there are always new things coming up.  There are about 300+Nintendo's on auction right now!  I know I'll get one now ;)
